One of two of my favourite "go to" pubs in the area if friends or family are visiting. Food is good. Bar snacks excellent. Location is FAB. We often get a bowl of mussels to share. Don't forget to check out the model ship near the gents and the history relating to the Mutiny on the Bounty. Recommended. Have been coming here since 1989. The view really makes this place. Sitting out on the pontoon over the water looking out across all the boats. A steep road to get down to the pub. There’s also limited parking. Alternatively, you can moor up alongside the pontoon. There’s lots of spaces especially at high tide. Food is good with great variety. I had the mussels for my main meal and it was more than large enough and at an amazing price. We ordered some onion rings and they were very greasy. Apparently the same with the fish and chips but that was the only slight complaint. We came for late lunch and it was very popular. Nice place with great views. Love, love this pub, visit more often in summer by boat but winter park up near by and walk down for Sunday roast and what a roast…….best roast around, super tasty and fresh produce. Staff super friendly and always accommodating even at their busiest times. Nothing else to say as up there as the best. Clearly a very busy pub in the high summer but really worth a visit. The while team are a credit to the publican. The food i saw being served looked delicious. The stagg were friendly and welcoming. Seat was onside and our, with the latter being on a wooden pier over the water. The history of the old pub was on display and interesting. Well worth a visit.
