Excellent trails along the gorge some with one section where steel rungs are embedded in the cliff face along with wire handrails to help walkers. Lovely clean water. Be careful parking because you could get a hefty fine if you don't use one of the designated parking zones and pay via an app (or by using the machine at the info centre where you can pay with €uro coins). You just need to see it! 💕⛰️😍 This gorge is very and there are not many tourists as other places in Slovenia. You can park at the tourist office although it is small. The girl there was really nice and her instructions clear. She gave us a map. There is one part of the path that it's a bit of a hike. I wouldn't recommend it for children, since some of the walls are steep, but you can always go through the paved road. A lot of people were taking baths in the gorges, if we had known we would have taken our swimsuits. It is free to go and it is about 2.5 km to do the route. You can explore this place with a short and not a difficult hike. Although currently (jan ‘24) the hike side of the gorge is closed due to a renovation. This is a more adventurous path, but still doable when your condition is just barely there. I have a fear of heights, but the staircase in the rock could still be climbed. If you have a very great fear of it I would not recommend it. But if you want to overcome your fear and have a nice view, would totally do it! The path is easy and there are a lot of information signs there explaining how the area came to be. I love that! If you are in the area I would 100% recommend doing this trail!
