One of the Most Revieweds in Whitehaven Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Usually pub-food and has usually been a good, consistent, standard. However the last (Steak Pie & Chips) was really poor - hard pastry. I complained to the staff who apologised. My dad loved it when he was alive he used to call it HQ Past this place a few times and wondered if it's just for members, so we decided to pop in to check it out. I'm glad we did. The restaurant is open to the public, and there is a large car park around the back with a few allocated disabled bays, although the markings on the ground have faded. The front entrance is automatically and wide enough for wheelchairs. The restaurant has a disabled WC, The staff seemed friendly and sat us down where we wanted and took our drinks & food orders promptly. The food came pipping hot, and it was delicious. There is a huge selection of foods and vegetarian options to choose from. Check their website for the latest menu items. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby. Enjoyed a lovely here. The menu is extensive, we will be back Friendly staff great food. Nice course in summer when it's been dry. Not worth playing in winter very boggy A really nice place for relaxing. Clean, quiet and the foods pretty and not over priced. I'll be back. Well went to Whitehaven Golf Club for the Wifes Birthday grate team and the service was great food lovely don't think the pictures do it justice. Nice food and a atmosphere… We visited on a Thursday night at 6pm and it was packed, nice to see but surprising for a Thursday - I’m glad we booked! Despite it being so busy, we were shown to our table as soon as we entered and the drinks order was taken, the drinks arrived really quickly which was great. For food, there’s a really sized menu with your usual pub meals and a few other dishes on there if you fancy something a little different, there’s also a specials menu which surprisingly had a amount of choice! - Also, bonus points for the specials being on a printed page for each table as opposed to a blackboard somewhere near the bar. I chose to go for the teriyaki beef stir fry noodles which came looking brilliant and the flavour didn’t disappoint in the slightest… The first bite to the last was thoroughly enjoyable! The beef was tender and the noodles were cooked perfectly, my only criticism with this dish is that it was a noticeably smaller portion than the other meals on the table for a similar price (if not a little more expensive) - I was still a bit hungry after the meal. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, the seating area was also nice and tidy with no dirty tables or mess on the floor - it’s clear that Whitehaven Golf Club takes pride in themselves and their reputation. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a modern pub with ample parking. Came here for an evening meal. Waitresses were friendly and service was quick. I had the beef madras with rice. The beef was cooked well, although for my tastes there could have been more sauce and a little bit spicier. Food quality has gone down substantially in the last 6months or so. Very greasy overall. Service & staff are always pleasant however, just a shame the food doesnt match the standard The views of the hills are amazing. Went for a works meeting with a after. Room was comfortable enough, coffee was good. was lovely just could have been more as the serving was fairly small Absolutely appalling. Just returned home from the Golf course. After being very accommodating at first by giving my wheelchair bound Mother a better table that had initially been designated for us, sadly things went down hill. The batter on the fish was overdone to the point I wouldn't have gone near it with a bargepole for fear of damaging my teeth. I ordered phillet stake with a Diane sauce. On the third time of asking for the said Diane Sauce it eventually arrived. Sadly by this point my food was cold. There were also issues between the management and myself about how things should be rectified. Sloppy service. Average at best food. But don't complain or they'll just try and ignore you for as long as they can and hope you go away. Other than that ot was smashing 😘 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
