We chanced upon this restaurant while staying overnight in Wincanton. What a find! Superb food and excellent service. We highly recommend it. We visited two weeks ago and, unfortunately, found the experience quite underwhelming. The mains were bland and lacked the authentic flavour we were hoping for. We had chosen this place based on a review claiming the food tasted just like back home, but we honestly couldn’t see how anyone could say that. Even worse, we all had upset stomachs afterwards—my elderly father-in-law was particularly affected and spent much of the night unwell. That really took away from what should have been an enjoyable evening. On a positive note, the service was lovely—friendly and attentive throughout. However, it feels like there isn’t enough local competition pushing this restaurant to raise its game. We hope they take feedback on board and make some much-needed improvements. Delicious, high quality food and they were helpful, friendly and efficient with the delivery when I stayed at the local Travelodge. The ample lamb tikka biriani was delicious with tender tasty lamb and fed two of us! Lovely helpfully staff. Made alterations to the food to suit vegan requirements, great job. Me and my friend were on a roadtrip to Stone Henge. We took a stop here to have dinner. The staff were so accommodating. Since it was our first indian food experience in UK, they made us small dishes so that we could try out different flavors. They also gave us extra price. We were very touched by their kind gestures, and they truly made our day by their kindness and thoughtfulness. I've been using them for about 10 years now and have never had a poor meal from them. I now live 20 mins away, but choose to use them instead of several nearer! I can highly recommend the Dhansak, and the less-commonly seen Lucknow. I was on holidays in North Cheriton and wanted a meal in the house after a day out on the beach. Found this gem of a takeaway on Google with good reviews. Easy to order over the phone. Free delivery over £15 and the food was hot and really good. I would recommend to anyone who would like a takeaway.
