Lovely staff are very helpful, taking the time to welcome a newbie, is a boom pool, so it is adjustable depth to allow aqua aerobic class to take place at the same time as open swimming. Does reduce the length of the pool, but it's better than closing the whole to allow classes to take place. It's so impressive. Staff are lovely and it was lovely and quiet when we were there but the facilities need updating, the lockers are a bit hit and miss, the locks on a fair number of changing cubicals need fixing and the showers are a bit pitiful. Brilliant. Lovely big gym, great equipment. 25m pool, great water quality. Quite busy at the 7-9 am swim but manageable. Showers only last for 3 sec so difficult to wash long hair, also in mixed sex area, so can’t have a full shower. Changing cubicles are mixed sex, so not ideal, and very small, so difficult with lots of bags. Lovely staff, very helpful with queries, was greeted beautifully by the friendly lady running the desk. Nice to have some healthy snack options available. Great pool. Easy to come and go. Could do with more baby changing/chairs when it’s full of babies swimming. Only two available. Overall. Love this place. Lovely always clean... Bit cold for the little ones. Okay temp for adults. Lifeguards bit overtop and inconsistent with duties. Not a great first visit. Changing rooms weren’t the cleanest and my partner cut his foot on a broken tile in the pool. I emailed them politely just letting them know what had happened as he had my 8 year old step son with him so could have been him. 5 days later and the email I sent hasn’t even had a response or acknowledgement from them. Poor and I would AVOID! Old and very basic swimming pool. No overflow (pretty much standard since the 70s!) and unfortunately not very clean. The staff is very friendly and tries their best to keep the place clean, but it's very busy and quite run down. A lot of tiles are missing, there are no shower cubicles and most of the showers seem to be cold. For what is on offer, I found it way too expensive. Went to the sports hall for a non sporting event. Parking was available over two or three car parks , leading to easy, accessible entrance directly into the hall. The hall itself was of a good size, light , airy and clean.
