Had a quick snack and coffee at caffe sambo. Staffs are very friendly and attentive, I sat outside and ordered macchiato and a chocolate croissant, it was so yummy! Only I had to wait a bit longer than I expected ( around 10 mins) Would recommend for coffee for sure, if you need a quick fix of caffeine in the area. For 15 years I have been coming to this incredible bar, but since it changed ownership, things are very different. The staff are very indifferent/rude to guests, whether it’s waiting to be seated, ordering a drink or paying. Frankly, it turns a beautiful people-watching bar into such a bad experience that I will not be back. All i can say is that they have the espresso in Forte dei Marmi, i’ve tried multiple spots and this is hands down the best one. worst service ever. 2 parties are not allowed to sit around the same table. so there are many tables with empty chairs. obviously they dont need the customers. never ever We waited to order 40 minutes and then waited almost half an hour to get three orange juice and one Americano We ordered a Limoncello SPRITZ and Hugo SPRITZ, got a glass full of ice with 2 sips of SPRITZ for €15. While Spritz is listed on the menu for €10. Staff claims that because they invented the spritz, they should know what to charge. Hilarious. Apparently Limoncello spritz is suddenly not a spritz anymore when you get the bill. The workers don’t want to work and are rude, ignore customers and won’t seat you (even though it says to wait to be seated) and they won’t take your order, and they won’t serve you either! I live in Forte and this is one of the worst service I’ve seen in my life, never again. The worst restaurant/cafe in Forte del marmi! While shopping in Forte Del Marmi we wanted to stop by this place to get a cold drink in the heat, but this is our experience: The people working at Caffe Sambo are some of the most rude people I have ever met! The service here are horrible and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here! They insult you and if you move any of the chairs or tables AFTER asking them and getting permission to do so (because you are 6 people who wants to sit together) another worker will tell you that is it not okay (their communication is horrendous!) Then they tell you that it is okay to move the chairs and tables IF you buy Food from their kitchen, BUT when you then try to order from the kitchen 2 minutes after, they tell you that it is closed??? Unfortunately we cant rate the food because they did not serve it to us..
