Nice location to go good ponds it's a pity that they close the for wedding functions This place has had a major overhaul, Its a stunning and picturesque site over looking local country side. The specimens of fish are in perfect condition. Food and hot drinks can be ordered direct to your peg from the Lodge and prices are very cheap. Wedding and Glamping now available here. Nice little spot great food 2 of us fished the small lake and had 15 carp up to about 5lb between us. Lots of fish caught on the lake that day and from what I could see, they were all carp, although I believe there are a good mix of other fish in the other 2 lakes. There is a shop selling tackle and pellets etc but no live bait. Cash payments only including for the lake fee of £10 for 1 rod. There are toilets specifically for Anglers (the wedding venue toilets are out of bounds to Anglers). Finding the road to the venue wasn't straightforward as our sat nav insisted we went through an industrial estate which had a big sign stating NO ACCESS TO LAKE. We eventually found the very narrow access between 2 houses a couple of miles from the industrial estate, back into town. Beautiful place, spotless clean and friendly staff. A real Haven to relax and enjoy the country views, great food also. One of my favourite fisheries. Nice setting with welcoming and helpful staff amd owners. Just off from the Eden Grange Glamping site and wedding venue, so benefits from the restaurant/coffee shop on site. Tackle shop is well stocked and is opened on busy days or by request. Bailiffs are spot on for advice and help. Lakes are well stocked. I've had up to 12 and 13lb common and mirror carp on Runswater lake. Tench, perch, rudd, roach and ide are to be found here too. Only down side - could do with a body wash dispenser in the shower. Had to go out to the shops when I realised there was no body wash. Perfect getaway for all people. Lovely place great staff easy to find.. so quite and tranquil the pods are maintained to a high standard and are very cosy and the private hot tub just tops it off will definitely be booking back up Fabulous grounds, wonderful owners and staff. Beutifull Very good place i enjoy here very friendly people plenty of fish in the ponds only suggestion is half day tickets that can be served in the last few hours of the day as i think it would be more fair on people like me who enjoy going fishimg after work Fantastic fishery, great set up. Fished here 2 weeks in a row with my 2 sons and we have caught 23 Carp in 2 x sessions between us, plus a couple of tench.
