The Quarry Teahouse is a must visit. The cafe is lovely and unique - there aren't many cafes that transport you into a different world of pink. Kids will find it so magical. There's plenty of gluten-free options. The food is tasty, and the cakes are in another league. The are so warm and friendly. It's a truly gorgeous Teahouse! Recommend! Thoroughly impressed by today's visit. My wife spotted this place on the way to another venue so was VERY determined to drop in here. Glad we did. We were sat down immediately at a comfortable an roomy table with comfy seats. We ordered Pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, poached eggs and avocado on sourdough toast, flat white and a pot of tea. The took payment after our order. The food served was delicious and fresh. The were and helpful and checked to see if everything was OK. Highly recommend and will return in the near future. Beautiful tearooms. Very busy when we arrived, but were and efficient so we were seated very quickly. Food was lovely and I can't wait to try my little takeaway treats 😊 Absolutely Outstanding Food & Service.. First time I have been here and wow absolutely spot on... Brilliant for a afternoon tea or breakfast. What a lovely treat.. Excellent location near the cycle track ( old railway line ) it’s on the NCN70 route too. Took my mum for an afternoon tea and we had a meal. The meal was excellent and well Presented and the very nice. There was a lot of different cake options and various meals to chose. I like it and it wasn’t expensive, somewhere worth visiting for sure. Not far from Durham City, Bishop Auckland Palace, Whitton Castle or Shildon Locomotion Railway museum. Love this place its miles from where I live but my freind has to go to the village a lot so I go have a lovely cake and a coffee couple of photos of the sweet treats ive had Lovely place with variety of cakes, drinks and savoury food. Fast and service. Nice outside area too, dog friendly. Amazing brunch! I don't even know where Hunswick is. Quarry Tea House came up on a best brunch in the north east list (ands that's some serious competition). It's pretty close to Forsterly/Stanhope/Wolsingham and well worth the trip. All the breakfast classics, pies of the day, hot sandwiches, fully stocked cake counter (grabbed some to takeaway as they all looked too good). Gets busy, but we were able.to go on a waiting list for a table, and the food was fast once we were sat. The were all friendly. They are 100% committed to the pink decor theme so be warned (you definitely can't miss it on your way through). Went here today for brunch, they had a wide selection of food and drinks, I went for the pancakes with biscoff and bananas and a gingerbread latte, the pancakes were nice and fluffy, they were unreal! The decor is amazing, nice and bright with lots of bright, fun colours! Lovely Tea House. Good food and quite large portions. Nice presentation of food. Definitely right place for a date. Lovely place with excellent food. Delicious cakes and bakes to take away too. Service is fast and and the food is excellent.
