We visited here for the first yesterday. There were 3 of us, we all had different dishes. One had the Tandoori stack, which was really nice but the portion was too big so over half of it got wasted, which was a shame. The second had the parmesan which was described as the best they had ever had so top marks there. I had the Gunness beef and cheese dumplings, they tasted lovely, unfortunately the dumplings were a little dry. Having said that we will definitely be going back. The were and the atmosphere was great, relaxed but busy. I'm looking forward to returning here. If you intend to go in would definitely booking as it was and people were calling to book all the time. I've recommended The Copper Mine to a number of people, despite never eating there myself. I just know it's a pub with an excellent reputation. I finally got the opportunity to eat there this week and was not disappointed. We managed to get in on the lunchtime service.. enjoying a beer, a coffee, a starter, and a main course. The food was worth the wait & spot on for food. I had the sticky with sesame with Rice & my hubby had the ciabatta with bbq sauce & chips. + drinks £32 exactly. The pub is kid friendly. We live local and heard reports about The Copper Mine. sized car park, lovely cosy feel indoors and background music to listen to but not loud. Staff very and helpful and the food was excellent, sized portions and delicious.Woyld the bao buns with crispy belly pork filling and the Guinness beef stew with cheese dumplings. Oct-25 Varied menu, so plenty to choose from, really so booking. Group of 4, 2 couples, and had a evening. Food was lovely, excellent, prices very reasonable, portions a size. Definitely recommend. We were in the area visiting family and they recommended this place. They were so right too. We nearly didn't get a table as it was very and we hadn't booked. Luckily we got one. The food was and well cooked. My husband had the fish and chips and I had the grilled salmon. Will definitely return with all the family when we are next up and will make sure we book it. We had an early Christmas meal at The Copper Mine and we were all impressed. The beer on tap tasted fresh and like the pipes are cleaned regularly. Most of the food was fantastic. Kids had a pizza which was top notch and my partner had the Greek which was also really good. I had the beef dumplings which unfortunately were quite gristly. The deserts were not that either but you expect that in a pub as most of them just use ready made frozen deserts. Most of the were very and attentive. The lady that delivered our bill didn't seem to care much about my food not being of the same standard. Overall, it was a experience and I will be going back as I suspect I was just unlucky with my dish. Started coming here not long ago and the food is delicious. The portion sizes are big and my favourite dish is the garlic mushroom starter it is extremely delicious! The is also top quality and I have to give praise to the young blonde waiter (I believe her name is Clara) she gave outstanding and was so polite and friendly. Overall a very pleasant experience each I come Every visit is an absolute pleasure. The place is usually pretty which is a sign. Even still, the are excellent and look after you the whole time, even if you need to wait for your table. Booking in advance is highly advised. The beef is unreal, the gravy to die for, and today I had the apple and berry crumble for desert, top tier and doesn't break the bank. We love this place. Visited for the first in January with a group of friends for a midweek tea. Excellent choice menu with something to suit everyone. Highly recommended. I love this place sincerely, although I have learnt to enjoy the savoury stuff and leave the sweet as there is no single dish that I don’t like. We were even impressed that the fish fingers for the kids menu were actually real fish! Like proper battered cod! We haven’t tried everything they offer, but we will be back. We had an absolutely amazing night here from start to finish. Food was piping hot and soooo fresh. Our first of trying here & it certainly won’t be our last. We forced in 3 courses each to try the full experience. We the garlic mushrooms starter, the sauce was & the scotch egg starter was cooked perfectly, complimented with a small amount of tasty crispy black pudding. The Souvlaki was really nice & the was not at all dry. The sticky sesame tasted absolutely lovely, with fluffy rice & is well worth a try. The 16oz T-bone steak was cooked exactly as requested & was a very tasty steak, complimented with a very nice peppercorn sauce. The T-bone is highly recommend. Apple pie was very tasty slices of apple with the right amount of tartness. The meringue & berries was & left you wanting more. The apple & fruit crumble was also very moreish. All in all, we left very happy indeed with our meals & absolutely stuffed. The all seemed pleasant, with the right amount of attentiveness & not hovering all the like at some places. We booked ahead & i’m pleased we did, as this appears to be a very pub & it was a pleasure to visit. We’ll be back! First we visited The Copper Mine through a recommendation. Food, atmosphere and was exceptional. Shout out to Olivia who made it extra special who had noticed my husbands birthday badge and wrote happy birthday on the side of his desert dish. Very lucky to call this pub my new local 🥳 Just had Sunday Lunch at the Copper Mine.. was excellent, food was superb and very value for money. Our dog was treated as as we were and had his own bowl of beef and a bowl of water on the house… Very friendly, lovely food, surroundings!!! We’ll definitely come back. Only thing I’d say can be improved is whenever I’ve went with a lot of people the tables and the way they are set out isn’t really the best it’s a tight squeeze getting past but obviously can’t make extra space. Other than that 10/10. I got the lasagne with a twist(has mac n cheese in) and the portion was huge couldn’t finish it so got it to take home. Very worth it.
