A great family campground. The are kept clean and to a high standard. It is a family atmosphere with children running around. There are showers and washing up spaces, a cafe that is open during the day and lots of trails for walking and biking. There is overnight security which was nice to see. It is within walking distance to Rostrevor so you are never far from civilization. We camped here during Storm Frances (we didnt know it was forcast and no managment notified us) we had to pack up at 4am as everything was being blown to pieces. For our own safety we had to leave.. it was pretty scary. We were on the grass pitches at the back which was very wet... a mud bath really. We were pitch no. 21. It was a good pitch, only for the mud, stoney ground ( hard to hammer pegs down in places) We thought it was sheltered but nothing can shelter you from a storm in a tent. Apart from that Kilbronny park is stunning. We walked through the woods into Rostrevor. It was a great walk the kis lovely the water falls etc. We definitely be back but we will keep a better eye on the weather next time Stayed 2 nites september 27th and 28th. Our pitch was on the lower level. Was a bit muddy. The upper level closer to was a lot dryer. So will book that level next time. are excellent. Bathroom is so warm and spotless. Loved the area and will definitely be back. Fantastic spot, very reasonable price, clean and tidy with spotless toilets and showers. Hook up and water point at the standings. Looking forward to going back soon Great area for camping, numbers are always capped so plenty of space to pitch. Great toilet & shower blocks and an area for washing dishes (tho no power points). Smaller block by reception also has launderette and a cafe.. Tennis courts, mountain trails including a Narnia Trail to fuel young imaginations. Good sized playpark and an small outdoor gym. Loads of green areas for ball games and beside a stream and a Fairy Glen. 10 minute walk into Rostrevor village for supplies. If eating out try the Thai green curry in The Church Bistro (closes at 5pm weekdays so be early) Highly recommended. Wheelchair user review.... Not the most accessible of campsites, the toilets are at the top of a hill, if you are in the lower campsite it is nearly impossible to get a wheelchair up to the toilet alone. Bring a radar key or you won't be able to use the disabled toilet or shower, the door into the washing up is easy to open but the sinks are quite high. Pitches are not level, this is noted on booking however some of the pitches are incredibly difficult to set up on. When we stayed the site was very noisy past 11pm, we had annoying neighbours that ran their motorhome from 10pm - 11pm every night. Walks are lovely, super pretty with lots of elevation. Many are difficult even with a trackwheel due to tree roots but manageable. Obviously very hilly so you need to have a lot of upper body arm strength and be fit if in a manual chair! Stunning area, dogs welcome x This is our first time staying at Kilbroney with our caravan, 3 children and friends in their caravan (start of April) We stayed for 3 nights. The park is beautiful, lovely scenery, excellent and great walks. The toilet and shower are excellent and cleaned regularly - they are spotless. We would have no hesitation in coming back and look forward to booing again later in the year The best caravan park we have been to. Toilets & showers spotless. Great & such a well kept park. It has an amazing coffee shop on site & the little village is 10mins walk with shops & restaurants. Has everything needed to make your caravan trip perfect Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
