The is so big that I didn’t get to explore it all, but the lakeside was peaceful - perfect for dog lovers, especially if you’re staying nearby or in the north with a dog. There’s also a café where you can grab a tea or coffee. Several trails lead up the hillside, offering great views overlooking the city. Highly recommend! Rain, hail or snow dog will love it (plenty of dogs off the lead which was great to see, free parking along the curb side too). Cafes, little shops all in close proximity too. Lots of bikers around in different locations it’s too big to know where it starts and end. Retriever girl was happy to retrieve bark sticks out of the lake and water parts of the ☺️ A great place to go for a hike or an easier walk. The views are stunning from all directions. Parking is free, there is a cafe and toilets. An easy enough hike to the Cloughmore stone and Kodak Corner. The Narnia trail is also worth a visit. Amazing park. Loved it. Picnic area, bbq area, play and walks. Narnia trail was magical. Surrounding was beautiful. Had a lovely day here and will definitely go back if chance arises. We had a great time despite the rain/ sleet. Walking up the Fairy Glen was both beautiful and magical. We then headed to the coffee shop for warm snacks and drinks. The view was outstanding and the food tasty. Following a lengthy visit to the park, we started for back to our apartment accommodation via the Narnia trail. Lots of Narnia related things to see as well as more beautiful woodland. Went hiking here, great spot and loads of paid parking with a cafe and picnic tables. Chose a perfect day with lots of sunshine, it was very quiet - the lady on the gate was delightful and friendly, it was £5 in, stay as long as you like.. and the surrounding itself is magical and beautiful. CS Lewis was inspired for Narnia by here and the Mournes, and it's easy to see why.. otherworldly feels in some parts - and I also seen my first ever red squirrel! Which was such a joy/ privilege. Will definitely be visiting again to explore more.
