Best park I’ve been to in Newry! It’s a beautiful open space with stunning greenery, scenic views, and plenty of hiking trails. In February, it was quiet, which I personally enjoyed. The park is so big that I didn’t get to explore it all, but the lakeside area was peaceful - perfect for dog lovers, especially if you’re staying nearby or in the north with a dog. There’s also a café where you can grab a tea or coffee. Several trails lead up the hillside, offering great views overlooking the city. Highly recommend! Rain, hail or snow dog will love it (plenty of dogs off the lead which was great to see, free parking along the curb side too). Cafes, little shops all in close proximity too. It’s one of those places where you choose your tree. If you are a bit more adventurous, then venture into the adjacent woodland and enjoy absolute quiet and wild. Follow the trail and hiking paths but watch out for mountain bikers. Really pretty along the bank. Starting from Kilbroney park entrance at Rostrevor town , the follows the for about 1k with an option of turning away from the up through the meadows with views over Carlingford Lough. Some lovely photo opportunities along the and a couple of areas to get down to the water's edge.... perfect for kids wanting to throw a few stones into the water (supervised). That’s was an awesome with the touch of close nature.. more amazing when the weather in your favour ❤️ A lovely along the which seems very popular with families, dog walkers and others. Not too difficult a and multiple places to get down to the edge of the water - good for dogs and kids to have fun in the water. Lovely gentle scenic Beautiful with the sound of the flowing....absolute gem of a place. We saw the little fish in the and also an inquisitive herron bird too. Absolutely beautiful part of Rostrevor. Our children loved the whole we did along the Fairy Glen and into Kilbroney Park. Next time we will pop into one of the restaurants/cafes for food and into one of the pubs for a drink. 😏 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
