There is on street parking available. Try the chunky fries. They are delicious. When I came to this place I was a little concerned as it looks a bit run down from the outside but looks are definitely deceiving...wow it is homely ,comfortable and absolutely gorgeous inside I don't think I have ever been inside a place so fabulous Staff so nice Food amazing Place out of this world Thank you so much to the manager for the tour Definitely recommend it and definitely will visit again photos don't do it justice Lovely cocktails and not expensive. There is a beautiful tree decoration inside and the bar has a very cool atmosphere. Great for a few drinks after work when there aren't a lot of people there. One night the barman even stayed late just because our group of friends stayed late. Read the reviews and decided to try The Brass monkey. Got there as the were opening and the were friendly and took us in although they were opening up. We got cappuccino whilst we waited for the kitchen to open. Ordered calamari, rib and wing combo and loaded burger. The calamari was not that good but the salad it was served on and the rib and wing combo was really tasty. The was good but the onion rings on the was a little too oily. Can see that the venue was a little dated and think in the night it will have more charm as it does have good decor but at mid day it shows it’s age. All in all not a bad experience. Just in myself and hubby, First time visiting so Walking In bar side I wasn't sure if you could eat in it until we seen stuff on table, I got the fully loaded with onion rings, he got chicken fajitas and garlic cubes. Food was gorgeous couldn't fault it. Lovely friendly staff. Will definitely be back Just wonderful, we checked reviews prior and everything was great,staff helpful and friendly,food good and warm ,atmosphere was a bit dark but it fits the place so that is just my preference, everything was lovely, will pop by again with family sometime.🤗 We went for the steaknight deal. The restaurant was freezing and they had to bring in a heater which was effective but noisy. Could have eaten in the bar but it was too busy. Our scallops and steaks were lovely and well cooked. We enjoyed it all however a drink was included with the meal. A glass of wine or a pint so we both got wine. The deal was £55 per couple but we had to pay extra as only ONE drink per couple was included!! See on FB and decided to book a , we went in yesterday and what can I say we will definitely be back . Service was excellent. And food absolutely 💯 . This was first time there and we look forward to going back . We were all happy 😊 Really lovely place! Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was tasty and warm. The lighting was a bit dark for my liking but it suited the atmosphere. Overall a great visit I’ll definitely come back with my family. When we arrived we asked had they a for 9. He said he would have one but we would have to be out within the hour as he needed it back. We said that was grand as we were only having mains. We asked for a high chair 3 times then end up having to go into the bar and in there got one. We were given 8 glasses for 9 drinks and asked for one more but was never given so 2 people shared a glass. They completely forgot one of the children’s order of and chips. We arrived at 3.50 and were served food at 5 so we weren’t going to be out within the hour when it took them over the hour the serve us. By the time the missing food arrived it was 5.20, the was over at the starting to clear and clean up as they clearly wanted the back so we end up letting the child who ordered the just take it in his hand to eat it in the car and he didn’t eat the chips. The chicken curry came out with a thick skin on it after been reheated. The bowl of rice was handed to a child with a big chunk gone out of it. The chicken came plain with no sauce and none given at the either. The bbq and fully loaded were bland and tasteless. The ribs came with no pineapple salsa and purple slaw it came with rocket lettuce. The nachos was not fine ground mince it was reheated hard blocks of mince and it had no sauce what so ever not even the sour cream as described on the menu. Everything was reheated cheap food and it was disgusting. The service was terrible was so rude and clearly in a bad mood he was unhelpful and not in any way polite. It was the worst service and food Iv had ever. Great wee spot, they were very busy but that was grand, seated and served drinks straight away. Young waiter wirking who was super polite and Darren who served us was fab, very attentive and great with my 2 year old son, he even got a toy to amuse him while we ate and got to bring it home with him! Cod goujons were amazing, chips best I've eaten in my 34 years, Steak spot on! Loved it, would definitely go back when up that direction again. Fun experiences and delicious food!
