Arrived on my boat went through the ecluse/lock and whilst we were waiting an engineer came on his bike to confirm details of our intentions and then invited us to see his machine room. What an experience the lifts work on water power such a wonderful 100 year old invention. The machinery was kept in immaculate condition. Well worth the visit.
