The museum is well curated and surprisingly engaging, with masks and costumes from all over the world, not just local traditions. The sections about the Carnaval de Binche are the highlight and they really help you understand why it is such a big deal here. It is not too big, so it feels easy to enjoy without getting tired, and I liked that it is a mix of visual displays and more immersive elements. Plan around one to two hours, and if you can, take your time reading the explanations because they add a lot. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Binche, even if you are not usually a museum person.
