Plenty of parking when I arrived (8.30am) carpark full when I left (9.15am) . The appointment was for my wife not me but as I'm her carer (and dutiful husband) I drove her and attended with her . Appointment was in the old side of the hospital not the new build, its a typical old fashioned out dated hospital building on the enormous budget of the NHS this should of been demolished & replaced some years ago. Internal Signage not fantastic but not terrible. Lighting a little dim. Hygiene & cleanliness very good I cannot fault the cleaners who were working very hard to maintain standards while I was there. Waiting area somewhat dated could do with more seats . All were polite. I wasn't allowed in the Appointment with my wife even though I'm her carer . So this is where the review ends. I would of given more stars if the building was upgraded. Had an outpatients appointment here recently. Whoever decided to out the outpatients at the furthest area in this building obviously didn't think of those who had issues walking a long distance. The lift doesn't even take you near the eye outpatients. Badly designed. Clean, tidy, nice coffee shop.lady serving couldn't do enough.very pleasant A strong smell of coffee as you walk through the doors was off-putting. As I don't like coffee. Short staffed, and you're waiting a long time for your appointment, never on time. No drinking water as you come in at reception. The self service check in always out of order, and no one is at the desk to check you in. Staff at reception are not that friendly. This Health Centre is a big improvement on the old one. It's big, spacious, clean and modern. The GPs are located on the first floor with stairs and lift access. I have also attended here for Neurological Physio. The I have encountered have all been lovely. I have no issues with getting an appointment to see my GP. The only issue really is the parking...there just isn't enough of it 🤷‍♀️ First point of contact is the Reception, couldn't ask for nicer staff, very helpful and approachable. Each visit a wheel chair is required for my Husband, a helpful hand is always near, I.e. a Porter. Again very pleasant staff. The only criticism I would give, is Car parking, have seen parking in spaces that should be for patients. Had to go for an x-ray. Waited less than a minute to be seen! Had a cup of tea at the snack bar with my mum and grandson. Very reasonably priced. A nursing Sister and two other sat beside us for their break and we had a great chat. So warm and friendly. Receptionist was polite and professional. All in all it was a very positive visit. Seven Towers Medical Practice - if you are thinking of joining a medical practice please, please, please avoid this one for 2 main reasons. 1.) You will wait for ages before anyone answers the phone at reception and that’s if you have the patience to tolerate the repetitious recorded messages. 2.) If you want to see a doctor you will be lucky to see one within 3/4 weeks. If you are already a patient and experiencing this problem then you should think about taking your H&C number to another practice with a proper more professional management system.
