Staff so friendly and ordered dinner for first night which was beautiful. Would recommend. 10 min walk through farmland to the beach and a 35mins walk to the Pueblo. Didn't use the pool but it was immaculate. Would recommend this place for a stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. The property is beautiful overall – an old house that has been mostly refurbished, with a lot of charm. The main downside is that room quality is inconsistent: some are lovely, more like 4-star apartments, while others are very basic, closer to hostel standard. Unfortunately, you don’t know which one you’ll get at check-in. In most places, you pay according to the room category, but here it feels like a lottery. I paid €175/night and ended up in one of the basic rooms, which was disappointing and poor value for money. The location is deep in the countryside, which is peaceful, but access is currently difficult because of ongoing road construction nearby. Once that’s finished, getting there should be much easier. That said, Cabo de Gata itself is a fantastic area to explore – highly recommend visiting Geoda de Pulpi (book well in advance) and snorkelling! On arrival, apparently we should have been shown where all facilities are, unfortunately we were shown straight to our room. In the morning had no idea where breakfast was being served or restaurant for dinner. This is a rustic beautiful hotel set in an amazing location. All areas inside are unique and with a huge variety of styles. The owners work very hard, you need to phone them to get service, they are there within minutes. Definetly recommend it you are looking for total tranquility. We stopped off last minute and late in the evening . Lourdes could not do enough and prepared late food for us and was an amazing hostess for our stay.
