Great place with a fantastic promenade/paseo. More Spanish than a lot of places. A port for large bulk carrying ships that collect huge quantities of gypsum, used for building & plasterboard etc along with a good sized marina. Plenty of restaurants specialising a lot on the pescado side of things & especially the big red gambas(prawns). Good beaches in & nearby. Most places do a drink & tapas for less than €2. Nice port to walk round. Loads of bars and restaurants near by. Interesting to watch the big ships being loaded. All the fishing boats come in around 6pm and you can watch them auction all the fish off. I am not a huge fan of Garrucha generally, it is a working town. There are many small streets and a bizarre one way system that takes some getting used to. The marina area is very nice. Lots of expensive boats to admire and some good restaurants and cafes to visit, many serving tapas and most offering seafood of varying shapes and sizes. There is a nice walk along the seafront with the recently redeveloped area at the south end - while this is a nice improvement, it is a little underwhelming and I am not exactly sure why one would gravitate there instead of the busier northern area. The Friday market seems to be back I'm it's traditional location. Nice Beach and not so crowded. Good water quality We stayed in Garrucha and lived it. We loved seeing the large boats entering the port. A nice friendly area to walk round with lots of bars Nice Marina, take some bread to feed the fish.drive to the opposite end where there's a lovely beach bar. I love this hotel incredibile one. The food service was very fast. The buffet breakfast was superb. I absolutely love all the staffs. They were super friendly. Specially Mr. Bijaya, and Kiran were really helpful. I request everyone to visit Hotel.
