Fantastic resort and very friendly and patient staff. We missed our initial flight and had to rebook a later one which was also delayed. We ended up arriving at 1am the were excellent and the MUCH later check-in was not a problem. The breakfast is great not a huge selection but what was there has plenty of flavour nom nom 🙂 The evening meal at the restaurant was also sooooo good. It’s a little town in the mountains towns. So don’t expect it to be busy. This place is for relaxing. The were very welcoming and we super friendly. Helped us with the bags etc. But for the price and it being considered a resort the rooms were very basic and small. The pool was very cold so later in the day you didn’t want to be in there. The serve dinner but my food was like 2 min noodles, sloppy and the wild bore had zero flavour and needed a ton of salt, ended up going to one of the village restaurants for night 2. The breakfast was okay very basic as well. But filling enough. A very nice hotel! Situated high in de mountains above Cefalu. The has ALL the facilities you can dream of: comfortable rooms, a very good restaurant with good and affordable wines, a peaceful location, kind and helpful personnel, 2 swimming pools (1 for children, 1 for adults), even massages can be provided. The main advantage to us was the fact that high in the mountains the temperature was about 5 degrees below the temperature at the sea side which is very agreeable and relaxing after warm excursions during the day! Obviously the way up the mountains, by car, takes about half an hour, along sinuous little roads which offer beautiful sceneries. We loved it! Great value for the money! Amazing resort. I loved the location, a 20 min drive from Cefalu in a very quiet village. We had a beautiful room. We were greeted by the nicest there, which were very helpful. The is small but beautiful. We stayed only one night but would have loved to stay more. Would definitely recommend to someone else. If you are looking for a place to enjoy nature with stunning views, listen birds singing and to avoid crowds, then this place might be for you. We stayed at this for 2 nights in June and it was lovely. We used it as a base to visit Cefalu which is easily accessible by car. It was also nice to wonder around Gratteri. The pool area is good with enough sunlight. Pool was refreshing and much needed on hot day. The room itself was clean and we didn’t face any issues. Breakfast provided much more than typical Italian breakfast and there were also 4 tables outside to have breakfast. Dinner was served outside next to the pool and the setup was lovely. The dishes were OK. The is also helpful and we as foreigners didn’t have any issues with communication. This is unique experience and it’s amazing to see that it brings more life to Gratteri and is introducing village to more people. Thank you! Myself and my husband had a wonderful stay at Gratteri. The food and wine were lovely as we're the 2 pools. The room was one of the most beautiful we have had in our experience of travelling Italy. The really made the stay special. Nothing was too much to ask. We can't thank Antonio and the rest of the team enough for looking after us so well. We had a wonderful stay at this located in a small and very charming mountain village. The room was clean and nice, but what we loved most were the stunning views from the windows – the town looked like something out of a postcard. Breakfast, which was included in the price, was delicious and filling, with plenty of food every morning. Lunch and dinner were available at an additional cost – the food was tasty, although we sometimes missed a bit of cheese or salt in the dishes. There was always space to relax by the pool, which offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The were extremely kind and helpful – especially the manager, Antonio, who went above and beyond by personally driving us to the next town when our bus didn’t show up. The village of Grateri itself is tiny, authentic, and full of charm. The locals are very friendly and always greet you, even though most don’t speak much English. A truly memorable experience!
