Lovely campsite, in a great location. You can pay on arrival. £25 for me and my partner altogether for one night. 20p for showers. It's in walking distance of the local pubs. We walked up Glenridding Dodd from the and got some stunning views from above. There's a butty van there on weekend mornings, but we didn't use it as we arrived Sunday evening. What a stunning for a campsite. We stayed in our camper van with electric. Drinking water is readily available, the showers were acceptable standard, what you would expect for a camp site. A walk away from the Travellers Rest and a walk away from other shops and pubs and Ullswater. Hellvelyn triathlon run actually comes through the so if you are going for this its a great spot to stay at. I'd recommend a stay here. Spent 2 nights here in my van. Stunning, peaceful and quiet right at the start of the hiking trail to Helvellyn. Showers cost 20p, but they were hot and had good pressure. Hot water for washing dishes and a toilet dump too. £34 for two nights with electric for myself and dog. Definitely can't complain about the price considering I paid more to sleep in the car park of the rugby club in Ambleside. I would definitely come back here again At the foot of Helvellyn walk. Ann was fantastic and gave us a room in the bunkhouse when we arrived back in the dark to a flooded tent - really appreciated that. She also has a breakfast van with some incredible breakfast rolls. Super friendly, great location, 5 mins walk to nearest pub. Would stay again Lovely little in Glenridding. Excellent toilet/ shower facilities (20 pence coin needed for shower) Breakfast facilities, I enjoyed an excellent bacon batch with coffee for £6.00 each morning. Weather had been atrocious and a friend got the van stuck .. a cheerful young man quickly arrived with a tractor and pulled the van out. Will visit again, a 10 out of 10 find. Really superb campsite, in a quiet by the river and very welcoming. Good facilities with plenty of hot water in the showers. Excellent breakfast van at the weekends. Good hard standing for campervans and grass field for tents, with a really nice touch to see lots of wildflowers in the bits of the field too sloping to pitch a tent. Lots of walks from the door and only ten minutes into the village but well away from the bustle of Glenridding, which can get very busy in the season. Stayed here as we had a wedding to attend and had to travel 6+ hours. Absolutely lovely place to stay with our caravan. Was able to walk down to the wedding venue and back with no problems. The facilities are the only thing that takes away from a 5 star review. 20p for showers which would be ok but the water was cold other than that we had an amazing time and will hopefully return in the future with our kids Really awesome with beautiful views across. Plenty of flat space to pitch your tent up, and easy access to reception and toilets. Hot water available, and we also bought eggs and fresh milk which was lovely for breakfast. 10/10 service too, the lady at reception was really lovely and welcoming. Definitely coming again :)) Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
