Liw Castle Armory is around one hour drive from Warsaw. Therefore, it is a good option to visit from Warsaw on a day trip. There is a nice snakelike narrow river nearby where canoeing is very popular. The armory is situated in a baroque style manor house. It has impressive collection of weapons of early 19th century. I liked the SMGs. There is a nice renovated Gothic like tower, though it is not possible to go at the top. An adjacent cellar is dedicated for temporary exhibition. There is nothing more in the surroundings but the museum complex also has a camping site. Adequate parking options. However, the fee is on the higher side. Not much information in English. Ciekawe miejsce i oddaje klimat. Warto zatrzymac sie na schodach i posluchac lub zapytac o historie. Obsluga bardzo mila Nice castle with military exposition. Nice view in Liv River. Surprising in the way of many quality items on display. The armory and other exponents are many and wide in terms of the story telling of the local area. A highly recommended visit especially with kids. Great value too! Great place not far from Warsaw. Small town with a small, lovely castle. You can learn history here, eat, have beer, swim, kayak, bike, or just lay down and relax. Fantastic day out. The knights fights tournament was great. A lot of interesting stuff, including sale of local products. We got natural juices, hand made Turkish halva. Kids could learn archery, how they made coins, how they hunted the old days. Nice place for knight's event, but not too much things to see besides - at least if you're not great Kosciuszko fan. Good organization of event. Keep in mind it's relatively small venue - I'd recommend an early bird visit - after 2 PM knight's event is very crowded (and queues are everywhere - to ticket offices - 2 tickets are necessary - as well as for food and drink). One last thing from local fire bridge: parking for event is on regular field - rain can turn experience to off-road survival. Ładny mały zamek. Otoczenie zadbane. Warto zobaczyć. Really beautiful place. Not that big but quite interesting exhibits. We could also climb on the tower and the views were fabulous. Make it a stop in a longer journey or plan for a picnic! Historical place in a small town of Poland "Wegrow" near to Warszawa. The castle was invaded by different nations and the last one was Swedish. Great place near Warsaw (one our drive for a picnic. The muzeum and castle are great and after visiting that there are nice spots for picnic at the bank of River Liwiec. There is a possibility to rent kayaks and some nice view points . Interesting place, loads to see for free but need to pay to enter the castle itself but isn't expensive.
