I have been visiting Ventnor since I was very little and every time I go back, I love it just as much. The views from the hills above are just stunning, especially when you get a good sunset. The itself is a real sun trap, and has the perfect mix of sand and shingle. It’s also a great place to look for sea glass with plenty being washed up. Truly the perfect for a solo, couples or family trip — forever my favourite in the UK. Step back in time! A very cute and well worth the walk. You can access via the Botanical Gardens or via the CoastalPath. Small cabins to rent and to sit on or boards to rent. Have lunch is one of the two restaurants. It was amazing experience to use fairy to get there from midlands. Absolutely gorgeous place to visit in summer. People were very friendly and polite. Cleanliness was amazing and beaches were heavenly secluded and beautiful. It was so peaceful and nice that I’m planning to going there again in open season. Local businesses need support as they only rely on tourists to don’t forget the contribute in to local charities and small local businesses. They are the backbone of this beautiful island. Ventnor on the Isle of Wight is a true gem, an absolutely splendid spot for a relaxing day by the coast. Nestled below dramatic cliffs, this offers a unique mix of pebbles and sandy stretches, backed by a charming promenade with lively cafés, galleries, and boutique shops. We visited on a beautiful sunny day and couldn’t have asked for more. The water was inviting and clear, perfect for paddling or just cooling off. Although the access involves a steep descent, it was totally worth it for the peaceful atmosphere below, less crowded than many other beaches, giving a wonderfully tranquil vibe. What really stood out was the stunning scenery: rugged coastline, colourful huts, and that iconic view of the Victorian-era Ventnor Botanic Garden perched above. This is a fantastic place to stroll, spot wildlife (we saw some seabirds and rock pool life), or even enjoy a bit of people-watching from the promenade. Facilities are refreshingly simple—there’s public access (though check tide times as parking and close access can be affected), clean public toilets, and friendly local cafés just a few minutes’ away. If you’re looking for a laid-back, scenic seaside escape on the Isle of Wight, Ventnor is definitely worth a visit. We had a wonderful, memorable time and would recommend it to families, couples, or anyone wanting a peaceful coastal experience. You can park in La Falaise to visit the beach. There is a pub right next to it. There are a few cafes, ice cream shops and a town where you can from the beach. Te itself has red small stones on half ot it and sand on the other part of it. Sand is black in some places. When the tide comes in it will cover almost the whole with only small places left. The part with red stones will be the only accessible part. The smell of the sea and seaweed can be very strong here. Close to Ventnor Bay there is a swimming pool. It is also possible to go on a through designed path near the sea from the car park. This is a fairly standard beach, with a combination of shingle and sand, a reasonable amount of restaurants and huts. Boat tours are available from the location and it is a pleasant, 30 minute from / to Bonchurch. The Cascade Gardens are nice, but the public toilets are dismal and in severe need of renovation! It’s a quiet place in October, a with little pebbles and seaweeds. Most restaurants were closed. Nothing much to do here but my little one had 30 mins fun with the pebbles.
