The ruin of the castle is in very good conditionand is also home to a couple of barbecue. It’s free and open 24/7 and you have a nice view over the valley and Basel. It’s a nice place to have a picnic or barbecue when the weather is good. A short tour (1-2 hours )with a lot of mysteries to discover and you might combine a wandering walking trail. Great Place... With Family or without... You can grill there... And it has beautiful hiking trails. Good on foot or by car. With a fantastic View over Aesch and Basel... Really Beautiful... Much more by sunny Days but can be mystic when it have Clouds or its a Rainday... That can be interesting for Photographs 📸😉 I Love it Intresting place with great view on valley. It has some signs that explain history and intresting facts about the place. But they are in German though Went on a hike and visited Pfeffingen caste for the first time. Spectacular view of Basel and surrounding area. Lots of history and great weather added to the enjoyment. If you like old castle ruins, this is a perfect place to explore and enjoy the scenery. Also nice place to have a picnic with friends and relax in nature. Was a great hike and the ruins were very nice Beautiful - a great uphill run gaining over 200m elevation!
