One star deduction because debris from trees is not cleaned up and is painful to walk on without shoes. The place is really big and gives off a spacious feel with 3-4 pools, if I remember correctly. Two kids pools, one deep pool with a diving platform and climbing wall, and one normal pool with a slide. There are even tables for table tennis. A lot of grass space for laying down and playing. There is an Aldi right next to the pool, so I would recommend buying food and drinks there before going in. It’s pretty cheap there. There are separate changing rooms, showers, and bathrooms for both genders. Have to bring your own lock for the lockers. For the women’s changing side there is some grass space with walls surrounding it, so you can sunbathe there with your bikini top off, if you want to get a nice tan. The water was perfect temperature to cool off. Their new restaurant is nice with good options. The only complaint Inhaber was the bee/wasps were many near the picnic areas. Wondered if there was a nest nearby. The best public outdoor swimming pool in basel! Plenty of space, and three pools well mantained pools surrounded by beautiful grass and trees. I like it but it does get very busy and sometimes it’s hard to swim lengths. I think they should open at 8.am on very hot days. What a wonderful place to enjoy a coffee and fresh salad after a hard swim.
