From the moment we arrived, her demeanor was cold, dismissive, and completely unwelcoming. She made no effort to be polite or professional, and acted as if serving us was an inconvenience. We were informed—without so much as an apology—that the kitchen had already stopped serving food at 7 p.m., which seemed unusually early. Instead of offering an explanation or even a polite response, she delivered the message with visible irritation and an overall attitude of indifference. We came ready to spend money and enjoy a pleasant evening out. Instead, we were met with eye-rolls, curt responses, and an atmosphere that made us feel like we weren’t wanted there at all. A front-of-house role is about setting the tone and making guests feel welcome—this experience did the opposite.
