Very beautiful building! The decision to have a hole in the middle gives the building a very interesting look. The Center Basel was the heart of the Eurovision Village during our visit, and it was an exceptionally well-organized and enjoyable space for fans. The center housed two main halls that perfectly catered to the large crowds. One hall was dedicated to sponsors and a diverse food court, offering a wide range of options to satisfy everyone's tastes. From here, you could easily access the other hall, which featured a large stage and hosted various Eurovision-related events and performances throughout the day. We spent time at the Center on both Friday and Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed the program on offer. The halls are impressively spacious, easily accommodating the large number of visitors without feeling cramped. The flow between the different areas was smooth, and the overall organization was truly top-notch. Basel did an outstanding job in setting up the Eurovision Village at the Center. It was a fantastic place to soak up the Eurovision atmosphere, enjoy the entertainment, and connect with other fans. A big well done to Basel for such a successful and well-executed event! Eurovision fever pitch at this mid-sized centre, located in the heart of the city. A good array of stalls, though security wasn’t the friendliest. In a wonderful coincidence the first day that we were in Basel was the first day of the art Basel festival. We are from Miami and ironically enough we had never been to Art Basel in Miami, but could not miss the opportunity to attend it the home city. It was a very interesting with lots of varied art much of it I did not understand but, there was a lot of people there. I know it’s a big international and I enjoyed the five hours. We spent walking around looking at the art and people watching. What a great Fantasy Basel 2021 it was. The site is huge and great for all exhibitions; easy access, clean bathrooms, smoking area, all of it was well organised. I have added some great pics from this lovely event! Enjoy Nice sqaure with beautiful Donut roof design. The place hosts several exhibitions throughout the year, Pictures from Annual HerbstMesse in Basel from End of October every year. Been there for the Andy Warhole exhibition. Was nice, not too big and not crowded at all. Do not expect something like any of the Basel Cities museums. This is a hall at the fair grounds without cafe and giftshop. Only limited infrastructure (coffee machine and some gifts for sale), but staff is friendly (mainly English speaking). Nice 👍 Messe Basel always hosts massive artwork and comic cons to keep guests entertained. The staff is very nice and always willing to help if you need anything. Everything is always really well organized. I would urge anyone who is visiting Switzerland or just looking for a new hall, to come here! 9/10 Visited during Eurovision—currently quite crowded because of it. Aesthetically, it doesn’t feel like typical Basel, but I really liked the electronic banner. This spot often hosts events, so there’s always something happening here. Eurovision 2025 Village was held here. The Messe Basel is a place where lots of international and also some national events take place. It’s accessible via trains and buses. Usually it isn’t that crowded unless there is an going on. It is one of the must visit tourist spots when coming to Basel. Enormous place for big events like Fantasy Basel. It has places outside for food and inside as well. 4 or more floors. Amazing place. It was all I hoped and more. The sheer number of pieces and artists showcased all but guaranteed a complete experience and it would have been impossible to not find something to fall in love with.. Multiple somethings. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the whole atmosphere was incredibly relaxed and pleasant. Already planning my return next year The ExhibiCentre (Messe Basel) is not just a functional venue—it’s an architectural statement, brilliantly designed by the world-renowned Basel firm Herzog & de Meuron. Their signature touch is unmistakable: bold, minimalist lines paired with striking textures and light-play that elevate the entire space into something iconic. The building’s façade alone is worth a visit, with its looped metallic skin and impressive overpass that spans the street—an urban sculpture in its own right. Inside, the structure feels airy, international, and intelligently designed for large-scale exhibitions while maintaining a sense of openness and flow. It’s a true reflection of Basel itself: sophisticated, cosmopolitan, and forward-looking. Whether you're attending a major global or simply admiring the design, the Messe Basel is a must-see for architecture lovers and curious visitors alike. Went to Fantasy Basel at Messe Basel: the was excellent, and the venue was well suited for this kind of meeting. Hope I can visit again next year! There were 3 entrances to the exhibition. So didn't have to wait long to get in. The was great as always! I had my guide and managed to see almost everything in 3 hours. I think the was very well organized. This has been my best birthday present for many years!
