The food is beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Each dish was presented with care and attention to detail. The staff were courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, creating a warm and atmosphere. Overall, a wonderful place for anyone who appreciates food and excellent service. Highly recommended. Just the time to wait for the food was longer. 😊 First here tonight for a gathering of motoring enthusiasts. Lovely pub in a location Been working all day and no chance to eat, straight out to travel there. thought I'd try a Cheese Burger from the Cabin in the car park whilst walking around looking at cars and bikes attending. Paid £7.50 for a burger that was at best Lukewarm and a square flacid cheese slice, £3.15 for a bottle of juice. I wouldn't have an issue with cost of food was served hot and edible, but it went in the bin. Expensive & Disapppointing. Exceptional and helpful service, quality food and atmosphere. We will definitely return. Can wholeheartedly 👌 Food was good, but restaurant wasn’t busy we were put in a room with a group of 10 with 3 children and another family with 2 children. Nothing against children, but with a restaurant this size it seemed odd to have everyone so close together, particularly given our party type. It was a Saturday so not a busy Sunday lunch service. This pub used to be a reliable place for a decent lunch. Unfortunately, such is the way when a big brewery like JW Lees takes over, standards slip in both food quality and the cleanliness of the establishment. Dining out at this level has become so uninspiring and mediocre. I understand the pressures with rising costs, but the effort is just not there anymore. The menu here is really average, and the ingredients used are of poor quality. When you see how tired the interior of the building is, it doesn't bode well. Especially when it's clear that a vacuum cleaner has not even been used prior to the pub opening for lunch! Dirty floors are unacceptable. I don't understand how people praise the food. It's symptomatic of low expectations now as this is the new norm. How much more are things going to sink before dining out at a reasonable cost becomes not viable anymore? What a terrible advertisement for British food. I've had many a fantastic meal or pint here over the years. Its a stop off to fuel up before a long walk in the forest but its even better as a reward after one. The fantastic food and drinks are topped only by the and atmosphere. The team Neil has crafted over the last few years are an incredible group who will go above and beyond to make each just as special as the last. Great food, drinks, in a superb setting. I'll have the usual again when I next visit, please Neil. This was our first visit, and it certainly won’t be our last. The venue was spotlessly clean with comfortable seating and a atmosphere. was exceptionally friendly, and the food was fresh, delicious, and served piping hot, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The inclusion of a children’s menu was a thoughtful touch, especially as we were dining with young ones. One suggestion would be to include a charge on the final bill, as many people no longer carry cash and this would make tipping more convenient. . I had a fantastic dining experience at The Goshawk restaurant. The staff were and attentive, and the was warm and inviting. The food was perfectly and full of flavor. I highly The Goshawk for anyone seeking delicious food and service! Had a evening meal from the Supper Club menu and had two courses which were Slow braised beef brisket and Sticky toffee pudding which were both and very good value for money. Fireworks. Food and was brilliant, my sister’s family and my family had a really good time. (Family of 8) Two young girls who looked after the Sunter table were brilliant. Especially the young girl with brown hair, who took over half way through and took desert orders. She was brilliant with the kids. Great night thanks team. Love this country cosy pub restaurant with amazing food. They have a special all day menu to order Monday to Friday.Excellent value for such lovely, varied tasty food.Compliments to the chef. Service is and efficient with a manner, and the Sunday lunch is definitely the best around. Many thanks to Neil, Danny and Kelly who make this place so special. Popped in for Sunday Lunch and if I had to write a headline it would be "Fabulous food and service!" I had the turkey and my partner had the lamb both were beautifully and well presented. Anna our server took care of us. The Manager introduced himself and checked how we were. J W Lees line-up of beers made a change from the norm. All in all I would highly a visit. I popped into this pub recently and was genuinely impressed. The fish and chips were absolutely spot on, crispy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. You can tell they take pride in their food. The was excellent, friendly, attentive, and throughout. The location is too, set in a nice, idyllic village that adds to the whole experience. A spot all round. Highly recommend! Dropped in Sunday evening and it was surprisingly quiet. The staff could not have been more or accommodating. We both had fish and chips and took the "Northern it Up" option: bread and butter + chip shop style curry sauce. Well impressed! country pub. Food was spot on. We had the 3 courses for £19.99. Really good value. The only issue that one of my friend's had, was that the steak was only served with chips and she was hoping for a mushroom or some peas etc. She therefore had to pay an extra £5 for a side of veg. Staff were attentive and friendly. Nice atmosphere. We will be returning. Just had a evening meal at The Goshawk and it was fantastic as always! The food was delicious and really well cooked, definitely a step up from standard pub food. The staff were and friendly, making the whole really enjoyable. Special mention to Neil the manager – he runs the place brilliantly and makes sure everything’s spot on. Couldn’t it more! Fabulous food and service! Can highly the lamb!! Beautifully cooked! We were served by Anna who took care of us and was extremely polite, and attentive!! The lady behind the bar (not sure of her name) was also excellent! Thank you for a delicious Sunday lunch! N.b not just Gluten free options but tasting gluten free options available!!! Amazing food and very reasonably priced! The staff were also very helpful and never left us waiting too long for our food - which was delicious; we will definitely be back for another in the near future!
