There is parking and lots of cool sculptures and caves. Super cool sculptures both free standing and in the side of the landscape. Very unexpected. Artists are working on pieces, so you can see them in the process of creating their works of art. Incredible place!!! So cool that it is just organically available — walk up anytime (but daylight hours work best to be able to watch your footing and see the detail of the sculptures!). We were AMAZED at the size of the pieces (especially the ones in the walls!) and the detail. Very very very cool place! I’m excited to come back one day and see how the Covid sculpture looks once it is completed — it’s already so fascinating!!! Amazing carved quarry. I think it would take a few visits to see everything even though it isn't a huge place. Tiny carvings and enormous ones everywhere you look. Sculptors actively carving statues on site. Tricky yo find but we'll worth the effort. Amazing place, the trails to reach the Lapidiales are so beautiful and special, really recommend for trekking lovers also for people that like art. Nice open air art gallery that is a work in progress as far as the statue's are concerned. They work on the statue's while you walk around the "gallery". Nice place with loads of wonderful statue's carved out of the stone walls. Free of charge and in the middle of nowhere which makes it all the more interesting. Happy we went to this art gallery! I'm not really into art or sculpture but was taken by a friend and I was blown away by the amazing works on public display. We were able to meet one of the many international artists working on site but this may depend on the time of year. Even if your only vaguely appreciative of sculpture I couldn't recommend visiting highly enough. Come here after seeing la Sentiere des Pierres - there was a sculptor here too and a short circuit with carvings in the walls. Impressive place, very much worth a visit. The large scale sculpted rock walls are very unique. You also can get a chance to see sculptors at work if you're lucky! Brilliant sculpture park - a real gem for Charente-Maritime. Worth a day exploring it and the local Port d'Envaux village. Free parking, free entrance and some curious and quirky sculptures into the walls of a small quarry. Loved the staircase in the corner. We were staying nearby so well worth popping in to see.
