Stayed here now several times & always have a pleasant experience. Lodges are clean & tidy, the hot tub is serviced daily & the views are stunning. Highly recommend. I’ve stayed here a few times in the past, but sadly this visit will be my last. The smaller cabin I booked was in a very poor state – dead flies around the bed, an old, worn interior, and a main door lock that was barely functional. The hot tub was the biggest disappointment. It was covered in grime when I arrived (which I had to clean myself) and then completely stopped working by the second day. A key advertised feature was unusable. Wi-Fi was also advertised, and I was given a code, but there was no Wi-Fi at all during my stay. This is a clear misrepresentation of what’s offered. There was no staff presence on site and no clear way to report issues, which makes it impossible to resolve problems “on the spot” as their terms require. Guests are told they can only get a partial refund if they complain during their – yet there’s no real system to do so. This feels unfair and inconsistent with UK consumer law. It’s a shame because the location is lovely, and with proper investment, this could be a great place. But as it stands, the condition of the cabins is unacceptable and far from what the website photos suggest. Update to My Review: Thank you for responding. Just to clarify: the “office” on site looked closed and completely unused — no lights on, and no one appeared to be inside. Also, whether previous guests left 5-star reviews is irrelevant to my experience. My review reflects what I encountered: a cabin in poor condition, a broken hot tub, no Wi-Fi despite being advertised, and no visible way to contact anyone for help during my stay. I have photos of the cabin and hot tub, which I will upload shortly. I stand by my feedback and hope improvements are made for future guests. Blaire little house 2 days stay: 23rd/24th We had a lovely at Yellowscott Country Park. The location is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The lodges themselves are huge, very spacious, and kept spotlessly clean and tidy, which really made a great first impression. The interior is a little dated in places and the carpets could do with being replaced, but overall it’s still a very comfortable and welcoming lodge. The hot tub was a brilliant addition – very warm and relaxing – though it too could benefit from a bit of an upgrade in the future. The biggest downside for us was the WiFi (or rather, the lack of it) and having no signal at all, which made staying connected difficult. That said, it did force us to switch off and enjoy the peaceful surroundings more. All in all, we had a really enjoyable and relaxing stay. We’d love to come back again and hopefully see some updates made, as this place has so much potential.
