Been going there for year place is good with the exception of the time it takes to do some repairs ,for instance one of the 2 disabled changing rooms has been close for around 5 months , when asked why was told there waiting on a emergency switch replacement part coming I really find this extremely unlikely that they would have to wait 5 months for the part that excuse is just BS .chances are it's an expensive part any Xcite just don't want to pay to repair it which is not much use when you have disabled people having to wait in excess of 30 minutes to gain access to the other disabled facilities due to them being occupied at the time. I started the wellbeing class at Craigswood and have met lots of lovely people. Today, xcite had a Christmas party and all the worked really hard to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves. We all did, so a massive thank you to all the staff. Elvis even put on a show…..fab. Recently signed back up to xcite after 4 years away. Craigswood gym is decent good range of equipment and very clean. One of best Xcite venues. Cleaners do a great job at this venue unlike the others. They have the latest Technogym equipment. The only drawbacks are the turnover when you get on so well with some of them and it can be extremely busy during peak periods to the point you cant get on things. A good level of equipment and helpful staff. My only issue is the music is often so loud it gets in the way of listening to my own music through my headphones. Love coming here it's an awesome place and has absolutely great and the new cafe is a great place to have a coffee or a bite to eat Not being able to use cables while under 16 is stupid/ inconsistent staff. What I mean by inconsistent is that one member one day will kick me off of a machine but another day will walk past me without a bother, if you're going to kick people off the machines be consistent at least. Also the fact that under 16's aren't allowed to use the cables genuinely astounds me, on the four sided cable machine there is a label which states that under 13's shouldn't be using it without permission. Meanwhile I'm 15 and being kicked off for it. I get it with free weights because you could actually injure yourself if you aren't mature, but the cable machines are stupid because it's the same mechanics as the ones you are allowed to use, I literally saw someone use the pulley machine to bicep curl because they aren't allowed on the actual cables. You're not keeping anyone safe, you're inconveniencing people and that's why I'm cancelling my membership, aswell as alot of other people I've met who left for the same reason.
