Beautiful walk Very peaceful and idyllic Short circular route - good paths but probably not very accessible for anyone with limited mobility at all as very steep Top would be fine for wheelchair / buggy, but the lower is where the real beauty is. Gorgeous waterfall with two well-maintained trails, one upper and one lower. Very peaceful. We, unfortunately, did not spot the mermaid. Wear appropriate footwear. Take care on the pathways which can be steep. Best to keep to higher if you have any infirmity. Enjoy your natural surroundings. Beautiful and peaceful location with easy trails. Perfect to go with family. It took us 1h to go around it all stopping to contemplate and take pictures. There are areas you can have a picnic! Small parking though. Lovely area with a beautiful waterfall that's never disappointing. Just be sure to come on a drier day to avoid the mud and take the high to the right if you've got a buggy or are otherwise mobility impaired. A small lay-by accommodates half a dozen, carefully parked cars by the entrance to the wood. In March it wasn't a problem but in peak times, it might be so. The first pathway down to the river looks very steep and uneven. A short walk further on the top offered a second down. Less steep, but still a doubtful challenge for the less sure-footed. Down by the river is beautiful and only a very short walk to the pool at the foot of the falls. The falls were not very high but the water was thundering down. Totally unspoilt. The top gives you a bird's eye view and just after the falls the woodland walk stops. Along the top path, little rock crevices with moss and tiny streams of water give a fairy garden appearance. Walking back from the river either of the two paths can be taken, so it's possible to walk a loop. Amazing place. Wear good walking shoes, very slippery on the downward paths when it's wet, and can we wet on the top even in dry weather. Lovely woods to wander through. Waterfall is obviously the highlight and doesn't disappoint. The descent to the bottom of the waterfall is relatively steep but you can see the waterfall from the top by just following the trail on the edge of the woods. The place is good for picnic. From the car park it takes around half an hour to reach the waterfall. It's an amazing experience to be surrounded by tall trees, bushes, and relaxing sound of flowing water.
