This is the most expensive and worst I've ever been to (€35). It absolutely does not live up to its name, "Tranquillo." It's incredibly noisy and uncomfortable. You have to park your car far from the tent area, which is on a slope with no flat surface. To top it off, there's no toilet paper anywhere! I strongly advise against staying here. Very quiet and pleasant campsite. Staff available. We were a group of 27 people and a lot of service was offered to us. This deserves more than 2 stars! Beautiful swimming pool, large spaces, brand new sanitary facilities and breathtaking views of Lake Maggiore. Very nice campsite, good sized pitches, amazing showers, and the reception staff was really friendly and helpful. The town of Baveno is a 20 minute walk, and the offers a lovely shuttle service (an old London cab, which was great). You can easily cycle from Stresa and also take the boat to visit the islands directly from Baveno. Would definitely recommend. For two stars there is basically nothing to complain about. Sanitary facilities are ok. The pool is okay, but you can't use it without a bathing cap. A steep 20-minute walk from Lake Maggiore to the campsite. Very nice views of Lake Maggiore from some spots. As a without big extras, if you focus on excursions and only there to sleep, it is well suited. Don’t go there if you are towing a medium to large mobile home or large camping car. It’s up on a hill and the teenager receptionist assigned us a spot slightly below the main area with super small gates, so we had a hard time getting out. Also, no soap or toilet paper anywhere as a way of cutting cost. All and all, not a great price-quality camping as it is not exactly cheap. The camping village lives up to it’s name, it’s super chill. The staff are welcoming and very friendly all the time. It’s got a free swimming pool for the clients, a nice bar right behind the reception where you can use the free wifi, and everything is kept tidy in all the facilities. The pitches for the campers are provided with good shade. Very good prices and availability. Would recomend!
