Can be quity bussy during the weekends and holidays. Water is nice and swimming location is marked. there is a smell of sewage, there are two black pipes that go into the lake. What is it, if not a sewer?! Good place for swimming in the morning. Beautiful place.. must visit Gorgeous senic place small pebble near the city center of Stresa, so a good location in walking distance if you are in Stresa. There are two bars/restaurants nearby (we did not try them). Clear water. Of course can‘t compare to a sandy in the Caribbean but still worth going there. We had a nice swim and enjoyed this beach. This is not a beach. This is just unoccupied part of the coast. There is no lifeguards, shower or changing room. The shore is strewn with stones that are painful to walk on without shoes. Another story is that many stupid private rusty boats sail very close. Which creates a lot of garbage and covers the water with a thin oily film. It's a shame that such a wonderful natural place is being used like this. For families I recommend consider in Arona. It is sandy, much cleaner and lovely.
