Woodland Carron Glen is ideal place for anyone looking for a good relaxing walk, this is the place, small car park behind the community centre. Path follows the river Carron, it is very quiet, great for dog walking, some the views of the river and waterfalls are fantastic. Moderately challenging through a mature forest. The lichens were incredible and a good indicator of air purity. Paths well marked. Lovely amongst the woods and Riverside. We parked at Dunipace and took the followed the way marked signs. Part of trail is closed due to landslip. Good paths. We couldn't work out a circular path, so headed back the same way. Nice in the woods. Parking available at Fankerton hut. The scenery changes so quite butsits a lovely walk. Wear tough soled shoes can be very rocky under foot Lovely place.. bit unlevel for walking in places, and some paths have partly landslip so be careful.. would take my dogs or children.. but enjoyed the walk, would have liked a couple of signs to point out the places on the map at the start as they're quite unclear.. This was my first time visiting Carron Glen and it truly is stunning. Its a great place to clear your head of all the hustle of City life. Beautiful lots to see and do. Can be very slippy and rocky as you get further in so wear proper walking shoes. Beautiful water to follow.
