We found this little walking path and a park for the kids. The beautiful views made it all worth the hike in the end. Been meaning to visit Wood Hill for ages. We’ve done Alva Glen and Dollar Glen multiple times, both great, but on the longer side for kids and can be busy. Wood hill was really quiet and fairly flat - there is one pretty steep part that had the kids complaining. The silver mine is a nice random place to find too. Its not really sign posted but a cool place to see and the water fall really lovely. Well worth a visit. Good woodland walks and views across Forth Valley. Litter free. Really lovely spot just off main road, small car park, has bike stands though if you fancy cycling there, it’s just off a cycle route too... Small kids playground, lovely lower area that is easy to get around although lots of steps... Also a but quite challenging circular walk on the upper side of the wood, you can visit the Alva Silver Glen on the walk, for dogs too. Absolutely beautiful! Really enjoyed my visit. It was so peaceful x Good place to stretch your legs for an hour. Lots of little ruins to find and explore with good views across Clackmannanshire Wood Hill is a place for walking. We take the dog there a few times a week. The are several really good walks including hill walks, woodland walks and treks through lovely glens. The car park is the ideal starting point. You can start the walk uphill to the Silver Mine from there. It's really an up-down walkway so I recommend for those who needs stronger exercise for a day but you can let your dog out from leash so really walk around the woods. Lovely as always, well managed.
