Our first experience of Speedway and we will definitely be back. I took my 2 sons (11 & 13) and an older friend who has been many times before but struggles with his mobility so hadn't been for a few years. The stadium has seen better days and I believe they are moving to a new stadium. We all very much enjoyed the event, helped by the fact The Monarchs won. A really good evening out. Brilliant nice friendly and atmosphere really good experience from acradley heathens fan Edinburgh Monarchs is a family orientated team of speedway racers and staff. The Monarchs gather on a Friday night at Armadale (at the moment) the bikes ride around in an oval for 4 laps but keeping in mind no brakes on these bikes! The noise and smell adds to the live experience! All in all its a great way to spend your Friday night out. Well the racers are obviously really amazing! But the place is run down, the one hot dog stand takes ages as the queues are always long and they only take cash, and well, some of the fans (sorry) are really disrespectful towards the away teams, which I will never get. Not something any team wants to see from the fans. Great atmosphere. The lady on the right hand side at the ticket entrance tonight (1st August 2025) was lovely too. Very helpful as it was my first time here. A great night out with my pal Ian at Armadale Speedway to watch Joshie Pickering and the Edinburgh Monarchs Amazing place to enjoy a loved sport.
