Very friendly and polite. My vegan meal was FANTASTIC. My partner had the steak and ale pie which he enjoyed. His son had the cheeseburger but said it was just ok! We were greeted warmly and led straight to our table. We ended up asking to be moved to a new table due to the sun streaming in from the window, which was no trouble at all and we were moved immediately. Interior is spacious and open but also cozy. Only a short wait for the food which was delicious. I had the chicken burger with chips and a side salad. Food was piping hot, fresh and tasty. The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The chicken burger was full of flavour. Only nitpick would be I'd have liked a dressing on the side salad. For dessert I had the chocolate orange sponge which was absolutely incredible. Sponge was light as air, filled with a sweet and sticky orange centre, smothered in chocolate and served warm with custard. Honestly one of THE BEST desserts I have ever eaten. All for a very reasonable price including drinks. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back! Lovely warm atmosphere, country style pub with nice food. We had amazing customer service from our hostess Robin and I can’t comment enough on how helpful, attentive and nice she was. My only slight issue would be the wait we had for our food to arrive. But would definitely return Whenever we have time we love to go for a lunch or dinner with my fiancé and of course with our puppy. The food is always delicious and the staff is lovely. For us is the most important that its dog friendly. Service was great. The steak I'd ordered was entered incorrectly, but they fixed it very quickly and checked in to make sure everything was fine. The waitress brought my grandson's dessert with a candle in it, which brought attention from the singer who then mentioned his name and wished him happy birthday. It was lovely. Not rowdy or loud, just a perfect night. We will be back for sure. Food is excellent, especially the new menu and staff are very attentive and easy to get along with.
