Stirling Distillery, right down the hill from Stirling Castle is a great little distillery, the smallest in Scotland; you have to visit and grab a drink. The only opened in 2019 so just a baby, and they have already won awards for their gin. Their first batch of whiskey will be ready in 2027. Staff is really friendly and I’m excited to make some cocktails with their flavored gins! We bought the Stirling City Pass for a day and the is included. It was a Sunday and we were glad that we were able to get a reservation for a family of 8. We had teenagers with us and they offered non-alcoholic drinks & they were able to learn about the process. We enjoyed the experience. Fantastic on Thursday afternoon with Kate. We were welcomed with a refreshing gin cocktail before being given a detailed history of gin and gin making. We found it fascinating. We also got to taste their seven gins while being given information about each one in turn. Then we saw the whiskey stills. The whole thing was amazing and we took full advantage of the discount in the shop! A great place to visit, this is a small and when we went they were producing whisky not gin. There is not much to see in the but Ruth our guide for about an hour and a half was very knowledgeable and explains the beginning of gin right up to how this came about and it's owners. There were 8 gins to taste with an explanation of how they came about and the ingredients used for each. We were looky there were only 4 of us on the one of which worked there (shows how much the staff loved the place) the small group made it very personal and even more enjoyable. I was the driver, it cost me £15 and for that I got a small bottle of gin, a bottle of tonic and a dried orange to take home. For the drinker it cost £25, BUT there was £9.75 taxes and fees added (which overall makes it quite expensive). You do get 10% off if you buy from their shop, they also have a bar you can get a drink from. Had a wonderful on the gin hosted by Rachel. After preparing a table full of gin, Rachel brilliantly guided us through the history of gin and shared her experiences on how to craft different gin cocktails. We crafted our own G&Ts and sampled several gins including battle strength gin. I highly recommend this and would definitely attend again. The Green Lady stole the show. Had a lovely few hours here today as part of a special birthday group. It was a great with plenty of opportunities, but it was our guide who really made it very informative and entertaining. She gave us lots of information on gin, whisky and the itself. I would definitely recommend it. There isn't much of a of the actual as it's such a small-scale operation but the process was described. The only improvement I'd ask for is if when we are taken in to the room the door could be closed as many of us couldn't see the equipment or what the guide was pointing to as it was behind the open door. Me and a friend went for the gin and it was amazing. Staff were friendly, welcoming and the itself is amazing for what you pay and they keep it interesting and fun. Would recommend any day for a fun few hours out. We recently visited as a group of 15 for a family members birthday and had a really great time. Even the 'non gin drinkers' of the group enjoyed themselves. Rachel led the for us and was very knowledgeable, would highly recommend! We did the gin Rachel the host was very knowledgable and explained every aspect of the process of making gin from the history of where it all began to modern day distilling, she went through each different drink from ingredients to matching flavours, would definitely recommend We had a lovely visit to Stirling and tried a couple of the single malts in their bar. The very knowledgeable Maisie took to tell us about the whisky’s and the distillery, and was really helpful. Next we visit we will make sure to do the full tour! My partner and I attended a gin at Stirling Distillery, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Our guide, Ruth, was incredibly kind and professional. She shared so many interesting details about the distillery, the gin-making process and the history, making the whole both engaging and fun. The products are of outstanding quality, each with a unique character that we loved discovering during the tasting. It was a pleasant and relaxing moment, perfect for immersing ourselves in the welcoming atmosphere of the distillery. We can’t wait to return for another visit the next we’re in Scotland! Highly recommended to all gin enthusiasts and anyone looking for an authentic and well-curated experience. Very informative and entertaining gin tasting. You get seven gins and a cocktail and everything tastes delicious. Our tourguide Ben was very friendly and gave us even more than usual. Had a whisky with a group and had a wonderful time. Our leader, Kate, was exceptional and made the for us!
