A beautiful building set in lovely countryside. The approach is via a narrow lane from the main road. We attended a wedding reception on the Saturday which was well organised and the catering was to a very high standard. We did not stay overnight but we understand from those who did that the rooms were quite basic but clean and comfortable. We then returned on the Sunday for a local fete which was great fun with stalls, story telling, music, folk dancing and a maypole. What A Fabulous Venue.... For everything musical arts and more. I've attended two weekend here, one for guitar and one for Ukulele & Singing. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, the food was exceptional, the staff were friendly and attentive and the venue itself although tired is full of historic references and utterly captivating. Also for those that like a musical evening in the bar... well it's reasonably priced and comfy. But most of all the tuition I've just received has been just awesome. I met many friendly and like minded people with a thirst for learning whether they be begginers, intermediates or advanced learners. I can't recommend the Ukulele and Singing weekend enough, the whole weekend experience at Halsway has been truly exceptional. Bravo! and as the big guy says..."I will be back!" You will come away inspired, and well-fed. Did a folk music week - fantastic course, great food and accommodation in beautiful grounds and also lovely walks on the doorstep - a Somerset jewel - I'd definitely go again This is a magical place. A beautiful building in a wonderful setting with lovely food and a great selection of courses. Every time I visit Halsway I am reminded of how lucky we are that such a welcoming and friendly folk venue exists. Add to that the beautiful house, lovely food and always fun bar and you really have a winning combination! Halsway Manor is a wonderful place for lovers of folk music and dance. The course tutors are knowledgeable, professional, patient and fun. It's also a joy to meet like-minded individuals on the courses. The staff are pleasant and efficient. The manor is gorgeous, as is the surrounding countryside. The cost of the and full-board accommodation is reasonable. I've been to Halsway at least ten times and will continue going there. Thank you.
