No sand here very rocky, just lovely walks along the coast as far as you want to walk but of course there are the deadly parking charges around £1.50 for a couple of hours, then hope you have a phone signal to pay again, by then you will be far away. Nice Café for Afternoon tea, better off dining here then parking is free. It's dog friendly too Is it the sea or is it an estuary? Whatever your opinion it's a nice place to be. Parking paid for on the way out which came up as Klive on my phone. Check the tide times before visiting! Great little for a costal walk. Car is adequate and costs about £1 an hour. Path can get a bit muddy when wet, but worth it. The is very interesting and has many different rock formations to view and wander over. Love a rocky beach! Loads of pebbles, pretty uneven so only for the mountain goats and boisterous types amongst us!. We parked at East Quantox church, (£1.50 all day) having heard that people were getting fined by ANPR here, as there is no signal. Not sure why this is an issue, as you can pay by app location 51132 ringo and just park, before you go (?) but didn't risk it, and therefore had a lovey 15 min walk through the Somerset countryside before hitting the 👍😄🥾🥾. This is Jurassic geology, wild, dramatic erosion, full of pebbles, geometric rock formations, sandstone, quartz and mudstone. Found a few fossils, mainly too fragile or large to take home, took home the memories instead📱🖼️📷. Not really a swimming beach, sizewell B power stations and Bristol estuary just round the corner, but go for the fresh air(!) and dramatic vistas. Not many people there when we went, some school groups for rock pooling and the odd fossil hunter. We walked all the way to EastQuantox and back, if you want to do this check the tides, as you may struggle to get there on high tide. Access the coastal path here, due to erosion the part after East Quantox is vai the beach, which can make passing it tricky as you can not pass at high tide. fossils!!! What a place to visit. I took a peaceful walk to the in the evening to contemplate and found a number of (remember the fossil code and watch out for cliff falls). I also really enjoyed the views and sounds of the sea as the sun started to set. The car i hear used to be an issue but that seems to have changed now with a very professional set up and clear signage. There is a grassy overlook with picnic tables as well as coastal walks. I don't know - this visit found the kid in me a bit whilst I also found it soothing from a wellbeing perspective. There are toilets (not the cleanest) and watch out for potholes on the track down to the car park! Great place to spend a few hours scouring the shore for fossilised creatures from a bygone era. Plenty of car parking space, your number plate is scanned when you enter, then when you leave you put in your number plate and it gives you your fee you need to pay on exit. The car has toilet facilities This must be a geologist’s dream, wave cut platforms are abundant along with the lithostratigraphy in the cliffs. We like to visit to search for like Devils toe nails and ammonites of various shapes and sizes deposited there back in the Late Jurassic when the waters were warmer and teeming with these long extinct animals. Walk from the car is approximately 15 minutes to the beach. Head around the duck pond towards coastal paths. Large stone with lots of and accessible coastal paths, with stunning views, it's a great place to explore for the day. Absolutely beautiful. Our kids were thoroughly entertained hunting for and stacking towers of stones. Check tide times before you visit so you can make the most of the beach. There was no issue with parking for us, yes the phone signal was poor but you can pay at the machine when you leave.
