The beach around here is lovely but the battery itself didn't really amaze me. Very interesting pleace Wonderful historical landmark being buried into the sand by the waves. Only the historic importance of this place may bring you there. And of course the seaside :) Fun to climb around, although a bit trashed with glass shatters. Needs more attendance. The Battery Nordmole bunker adds alot of character and history towards Melnrage beach whilst at the same time serving as a good place to rest on and enjoy the view of the Baltic sea. It is dissapointing however that it isn't taken care of much, there's alot of litter present around and inside the bunker. Some of the graffiti work done on it looks really good, but it can be seen as disrespectful, I personally don't think it is. Easy to get to on local bus from Klaipeda A little dirty inside, but the outside is a wonderful view and a great shelter from the weather.
