In the middle of fields, not far fro seaside, quite interesting place, with some authentic, old fasion village-hauses and fireplaces. Some meats are prepared in the big furnace. Tasty Lithuanian dishes kitchen, big plates & portions. Waited 20 minutes for the first beer to arrive. Food was ok but not special. Nice sitting outside. Location is good. Service also good. Large portions. But the food is not very tasty, too much salt. Music… we hear russian music? Are you ready to sell Lithuania on few dollars? Perfect place for the whole family. Truly local Lithuanian cuisine, love the fish soup 🍲 😋 First did not receive our salad and milkshake when we ordered them. Even steaks came before that which were ordered after. When everyone finished eating we were asked if we still want our salad to be made. Am, no? And there werent even that many people for it not be made. Milkshake was forgotten at all. And in the very end the bill had miscalculations, so be sure to double check it! On the other side suroundings are nice. The service not so much. As well as dishes are pretty small, so be ready to have a snack instead of a meal. We visited this restaurant whilst staying at the beautiful nearby Karklebeck campsite. It is only a 5 minute walk from there, and the area appears to have several campsites and holiday lets. The restaurant is large and pretty with lots of outdoor and indoor space. There is an outdoor oven which promises fresh fish as you'd expect with the seaside location. What we ate, however, was the worst meal of our holiday: freezer chips/ potato tots with each meal and what seemed to be sauces from a jar - it tasted fine but certainly not homemade and a far cry from what we'd eaten elsewhere. When we arrived, we were one of 3 tables in the whole place, yet service was poor - the waitress disappeared for long periods at a time so wasn't available for ordering more drinks etc. We had read snarky remarks about the adult meals having faces made from the salad on, we found this endearing. We feel this restaurant is missing a trick in the area - it's a beautiful and traditional restaurant and garden, but the food and service really let it down. We couldn't understand how it was so quiet with so much accomodation around and with no alternatives nearby, but now we do. Service was horible, not even mentioning terrible staff in the kitchen. Food quality was below any standard. In our case salmon in the salad looked like it was taken just straight out of garbage can. It is more likely to get food poisoning rather than a nice meal.
