Not as crowded as Palanga not as clean as Nida. Easy access from Klaipeda town with public transport makes it easy choice to enjoy the Sun bath. The is properly designated segments for Women only, Men only, nude couples and area for family. We took bus no 6 and 12-15 minutes ride, reached the area and just less than 5 minutes walk from bus stop to the beach. Easy access, car park, public transport and nice pier. However if you want to swim then go to smiltyne by using one of two ferries in the Klaipeda city. The over there is much nicer, the sand is softer and cleaner, the sea itself not as dirty and less dangerous sand holes in the sea, plus you will enjoy walking in the forest towards the as the air is fresh Nice and main of Klaipeda. Quiet and relatively clean. Good for taking walks behind dunes. Lots of people during summer can be overcrowded sometimes. There is a cafe, parking, a shop, a playground It's way less crowded than the beaches of Curonian Spit or those of Palanga and Šventoji. It's not that sandy though - there are pebbled areas. Still it's rather clean, there are safeguards, pits are marked. There are dunes to take cover from the wind if needed. There are parts of for sports, animals, nude sunbathers etc. Great place to spend time. However the water is very deep and can be dangerous when waves are high. It's sandy and you can see ships sometimes. The area has lifeguards and plenty of places to eat. Very calm place, less crowded (in my experiance), have a good cafe-bar in the beach. Very nice place to spend your evening Nice place, good that we have nature, and there is an awesome park nearby that describes the plants that hold up the dunes on the beach. The plants here are a bit different from anywhere else. There are cafes nearby and one of them at least seems to have something vegan. What a beautiful evening, best winter view on 2024. Location: Melnrage Beach, Klaipeda Melnrage has become my go-to escape whenever I crave the tranquility of nature. This pristine destination never fails to captivate me with its picturesque beauty and cleanliness. The is a haven for those who appreciate scenic sunsets and leisurely walks amidst stunning landscapes. One of the things I love most about Melnrage is its versatility. It's not just a sandy shore; there's a network of trails that lead you through enchanting woods, offering a diverse experience for nature enthusiasts. Exploring these trails has become a cherished activity for me and my family, providing an opportunity to connect with each other and with the surrounding natural beauty. The itself is meticulously maintained, and the cleanliness is commendable. Whether you're strolling along the shoreline or venturing into the woods, the entire area exudes a sense of serenity and harmony. The well-maintained trails make it easy to navigate, and the variety of paths ensures that every visit brings a new adventure. Melnrage is not just a destination; it's an experience. The sunsets are breathtaking, casting a warm glow over the landscape and creating a magical atmosphere. It's the perfect backdrop for creating lasting memories with friends and family. In summary, if you're seeking a place that seamlessly combines natural beauty, cleanliness, and diverse recreational opportunities, Melnrage is the ideal choice. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat and a chance to reconnect with nature. It's my favourite in Lithuania. Close to city. Season begins in June and ends August. There are not so many services on the beach. However, city entertainment sites are so close.
