First visit to lynn Glen with a friend, it was amazing peaceful and waterfall. I would definitely go back again. Best is to wear a hiking boots. Around 45 minutes but it was worth it. This place is amazing for adults and children, just keep them away from edge while walking. Waterfalls are beautiful, as is fairy 🧚‍♂️ trail,why not take some fairies with you and let the children place them in their own special place, or make them a fairy door to put on a tree 😀 This place is magical ✨️ keep dogs on leash, wear walking boots as it can get slippy. Places to stop for a picture and picnic in better weather. What a around this we had. Parked in a small car and started our 1.4km and when we got to the we wanted to just sit and watch the water,hearing the water all daylong. Great little picnic area and that feeling of being alone with nature was amazing and so peaceful. Great place to visit,, quite difficult to find,, Park on free car park, not farmers lane, come out of the car park, turn right, go over bridge and look for a wooden style on right, go through it and follow the path, keep a look out on the right and you will see the falls, go down at your peril, it's a struggle coming back up ( was for me, iam 57,recovering from a operation and over weight lol ) worth it all the same,, This is a place for a the falls are stunning although put your wellies on as its a bit muddy. The trail is quite steep and uneven so not suitable for people who have walking difficulties or children in buggies. There are picnic tables at end of or beginning depends what way you round the falls. Perfect for sunny days Beautiful! Lovely not too difficult either. Short from the car to these waterfalla Just a 10-minute from the car park, and you’ll pass several small waterfalls along the way. It was peaceful and quiet with no one else around when we visited—a lovely spot for a short, scenic walk. Nice wee with view. Nearly one mile trail from car park. Trail is going through village and private lands the car as per Google guide you. Then come to main main road take right cross the bridge and in your right side .....you will see a metal barrier to enter a small field path. That is the entrance of the fall. the 7/8 mins straight. You need to go down to view better.. Nice along both sides of the glen from the designated car which has a picnic area next to it. There's a variety of carvings and fairy doors on trees along the way which engaged the kids. Lovely loads of birds. Caught sight of a dipper, yellow wagtail, heron,great tits, blue tits, chaffinches, ravens, rooks. Superb. The work that's been undertaken by the Dalry community group has been outstanding. The is clear, no rubbish and safe for people to walk. Small inclines and declines on the but nothing that should trouble even a novice walker. Takes about 30 mins to circumvent but spend longer at the falls and all the other nooks and small paths and you can be up for there for hours. Lovely 40 minute circular walk. There is a parking area but if it's full you can in Dalry. It's not far if you're fit to walk. Lots of interesting points along the way, fairies, trolls bridge, waterfalls, old mill ruins and a bench dedicated to a local woman who was executed as a witch. Never expect to see such a waterfall, great for a nice casual walk, great little spots to find with information about Lynn Glen around the walk. It has great history to it with Jungle origins which is an insane thing to think about when walking through it. I’d recommend going between November to March when the is not as overgrown, but going any other time is completely fine and you get different experience each season! We loved this place. It was free parking and we took a picnic which there was a few benches. The and waterfalls itself was just breathtaking. I would recommend to keep your children close as the sides can get slippy in wet weather and getting down to the big itself was slippy but you can view from a distance of you didn't fancy the hike down. Having a child that has mobility issues it was hard in places and a few steps but taking our time round worked for us. Definitely recommend walking boots or wellies as the is muddy. The enchanted fairy section brightened up the last bit of the finding the doors and fairies. For a free shortish or long whichever you make it we loved it though. So much to see and explore. The car is small so just bare this is mind. Had a lovely round here with the kids. is huge and the kids loved the troll bridge and finding the fairies! A great 1 to 2 hour circular depending on how fast you go. A hidden wee gem the trail feels straight out of a fairy tale, with little touches of magic and enchantment along the way.
