A short (10-15 mins) hike up the hill from the car park and well worth making the effort for. Pick a clear sunny day and you can see for miles in every direction. You can't drive to the top due to the communications buildings built across the road but it's worth walking back that way, past the weather radar on the waymarked loop. This is such a nice place, the views and walks are just brilliant. Stunning up here. Absolutely love it at Clee hill. It is one of my all time favourite places to go. There is plenty of off-road parking and plenty to explore. Great for picnics and lots of walking spots. Got here early Saturday morning and bar a couple of camper vans I was the only person here. Incredible views over Shropshire and right across to the Cambrian Mountains. I was told by a local as I was leaving that it’s supposedly the best 360 degree view in England, and I can believe it too. The hill and locality has some very interesting history too, which I’ll be looking more into. If you’re in the area and the weather is decent then I’d recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed! On a clear day you can see for miles, but can be very atmospheric on a misty day. There are some old ruin buildings at the summit which are interesting to see. Parking area and plenty of picnic spot. No toilets or facilities. Rough ground and can be exposed to the elements A nice, short walk up to the trig. This walk comes with lovely views. Near the car park there are plenty of old quarrying buildings and at the top there is the old radar station. This was also once the site of a bronze age hillfort. Wonderful place. Had a good walk up the summit. A fairly easy walk and was very quiet when I was there. Came here to think and contemplate. Definitely a good place for that. Highly recommend.
