Go ape there too. Gruffalo trail for younger walkers. Lots of pathed with different lengths for all abilities. Came here for a family day out they had the stickman and gruffolo set which the little one loaded. Great scenery and the walkng oaths are for all abilities. Also dog friendly with a few play areas for kids and places to buy food/drinks or have a picnic. We had a lovely walk through the woods and enjoyed sitting in the Arboretum soaking up the sunshine for a while. Good facilities and clean. You can make your walk as long or as short as you want, the are very clearly marked out. There's plenty of benches and bins, you can hire all terrain mobility scooters and a playback and walks for the kids. Great area for walking lots of routes for all walking abilities or you can make up your own routes if you are looking for something bigger. Lots of amenities at the main pay for carpark with the toilets, cafe and play area. This is also where you can find the family friendly like the Gruffalo and stickman trails. Several alternative carparks are available around the forest many of them free all offering different routes - several of these have direct access to cycles and riding as well You know what spoils a lovely walk in the woods? People. More notably, people who don't clear up after their dogs. It's not the dog's fault, it's their owners. So annoying that after visiting such a lovely place as this, with all it's well marked and maintained trails, and welcoming cafe, you feel the need to do a quick check of the bottom of your footwear before getting back in your car, just in case you've stepped in something unwelcome. The little bags with their cargo on board dicarded in the vegetation is just as bad! Shame on you IRRESPONSIBLE dog owners, not ALL owners. Such a beautiful walk with 3 different walking through a beautiful forest. Also its dog friendly. The Wyre Forest is absolutely fantastic. The main car park is massive, it's paid parking. £2 for the early birds 8:00 -10:30. Much more after this time. The main centre is the cafe, toilet facilities and dog washing station. The toilets are clean. But, lots of cobwebs are decorating the celling and corners. It did smell heavily of urine even at 9:45. Large play area for children and bins to dispose of your picnic waste. Lots of information boards to view and plan your trail. The paths and are very well maintained and flat enough for even prams and mobility scooters. The Forest is densely packed with many tall trees and low laying plants. A real sense of an ancient woodland. The cafe is spacious with plenty of seating. Many choices for sandwiches, etc, but £5 for a smoothie (which I'm sure is delicious) is a little steep. Beautiful place, food is amazing. Had tuna salad and a latte. Loved the Gruffalo trail. Hired a mobility scooter to get around. Which made everything much better.
