Over the years I have visited quite a few waterparks, and Longleat Centerparcs Wild Water is definitely on the top of my list. The River starts at the top of indoor complex and is joined by a large entrance pool. It's a little bit colder than the pool, so take a deep breath as you enter the rapids. First you have to negotiate and enjoy the waterfall that cascades upon you as you swim, (very fun and refreshing). Then you start to hit the rapid slides. Each slide getting bigger until you reach the longest one which is about 40 meters long. The elevation from top to bottom is about 30 meters and the themselves must be 400 meters long. It's just so much fun. You can't stop yourself from just going round and round the for ages. Trying out new approaches every time, and just enjoying beautiful surroundings in which the are set. Even in busy times there is plenty of room. Lifeguards are plentiful and will keep the flow of people going. FEET FIRST is something you will hear hundreds of times from the Lifeguards. (Or was it just me ) My honest opinion...... This rapid ride is a 10 out of 10 experience. The only problem is that it can be crowded and you may end up bumping into other people as the pull you onwards. This is free to use once you have booked in to stay at centre parcs longleat. It was great fun and fairly busy, though no waiting. People just go round and round. Very fast with strong currents to pull you along. My favourite attraction at the water park. So much fun! Throw you round big slides and fast pace also a lot of fun! So much fun could go round all day! So big back draft in sections but it just makes it more fun when you get sucked back the opposite way! So much fun Epic Having been to Longleat before but not for over 8 years, we were really interested to see what changes had been made. Last time we went there was work being done to modernise the changing rooms. We found there were plenty of family friendly pods to get changed and they were surprisingly clean bearing in mind how busy the facilities get. Walking through to the lockers, we noticed the first main update. No more pound coins needed. The lockers have electronic locks that are activated via your room armband. Technology that we are used to when visiting Disney World which was a good touch. Walking through the showers to the entrance we immediately noticed that the toddler facilities had completely changed. These did look amazing but my youngest at 12muears really wasn't impressed 🤣. The main with its wide entrance, tropical feel, wave machines and various slides hadn't changed a bit. I also noticed how clean it all was and the amount of decent looking seats. Outside the facilities are unchanged. A lovely sized outside pool, the brilliant and great fun wild and an outside bubble bath. There were also a large number of sun loungers on the decking which was a nice touch. We then happened to notice the new addition and I can't believe we missed it. Over in the far corner was the new addition. Two rather impressive water flumes. These were very popular and be prepared for a wait but to be honest it wasn't that bad. One small gripe, was the signage. No one seemed to know where to get the rafts and it needed more as we had to wait for users to come off and take theirs off of them. Other than that, a highly recommended visit. Oh and don't forget to track your own lunch as 20 quid for a burger is a wee bit much... 😁 I love this water ride experience. I love the slide bits and the water flowing takes you along. Absolutely loved it. Went on multiple times. We're big kids at heart Lovely and warm even on the coldest wettest day of the year! Absolutely fantastic. The new slides are awesome, the pirate boat is perfect for younger ones, and swimming outdoors and the could not be beaten. Could have spent twice as long as we did but time was not on our side. The are great, probably the best & most fun activity in the swimming pool. Can get very busy and you can’t help crashing into people! Lovely at night when all lit up. Used the subtropical swimming paradise, and love it. Didn't use the myself (I am not a strong swimmer and had young children to stay with) but friends I was on holiday with did and absolutely loved them! From their reaction I would say the are awesome. So if that is your thing, you will enjoy them! FUN, can say more.
