Didn't get a chance to dine. Approached the host who said they "wouldn't be able to make it work this evening" when asking for a table for 2. This was about 8pm on a Friday. Weren't even directed to the bar, so just left! Will give it another try and other time, but it'll be a while. I'd suggest booking. Lovely outside area and a really looking place so really disappointed. local pub. Plenty of space, friendly staff, food and very beer made on the spot. The only thing I could complain about is that the food portions could be slightly bigger. We have the excellent set menu lunch. Food was tasty and brough to us in by friendly but effective staff. Special shout out to the fries which other shadowed the thick cut chips that come with fish and chips. Really like the cozy and rustic ambience. The weather wasn't great so look forward to visiting again and trying the outdoor seating. Really lovely pub located in rural westbury. Outdoor area had plenty of benches, with its own bar and freshly made pizza from another van. Was perfect on a warm summer evening. Food was great, though felt the mackerel toast at £9 was a tad sharp. Burgers were lovely- 3D ordered and the Korean burger. Hadn’t tried a Korean burger before- a portion size but a tad too sweet for my liking (not sure if that is standard for a Korean burger). Service was great, friendly staff. Presentation of food was fantastic. Really loved the toast and calamari plates. Parking free of charge but fairly busy (was a Friday night though). Would recommend visiting here. First I’ve been there even though I’m a semi local who has been away for twenty odd years , used to live up in westbury and didn’t have posh pubs back in my day , recommended by one of me mates one others where worried it would be an bit steep or posh for us Most pleasantly surprised their local own micro brew beers were only a fiver each well in our reach , ample outside seating for our tribe reunion , gardens benches Didn’t really see much of staff but ones we saw were nice. They have food and a shop but didn’t use this , it was just a meet up and pint chat night Will be back seemed a little clarkson farm shopish but not a bad thing if doing local grub a beer Nice place We had some drinks and baked goods from the farm shop and after that decided to have our lunch in the pub. Coffe on the farm shop is amazing. The food at the pub is fresh,home cooked and really delicious. Spend almost the whole day there,kids happy palying at the park . Definitely will go there again. Great rooms — clean, fresh and spacious. Bathroom was great, with very shower. Breakfast was good. They were for dinner, so can’t say anything about the dinner menu. There’s also a farmer’s shop nearby. Definitely will stay here next year! Very lovely place we found whilst doing a roadtrip. Roast was really good, we had the pork option and it was lovely. Staff were and accommodating, place was and cosy. Car park was a bit tight and busy at the time, but street parking is easy. Highly recommended for a Sunday roast. They play light music outside which sets a relaxed vibe Visited here for a roast dinner, it was but the meat was quite fatty unfortunately.. apart from that the atmosphere was lovely and cosy. Perfect Christmas Break! We visited here for a couple of days of family before the madness of Christmas kicked in and it could not have been more perfect. The room was wonderful, the service absolutely first class, and the food lovely! We loved the fact that the pub was of locals and enjoyed getting drawn in to friendly conversations whilst we sat with a pint/glass of fizz and played chess by the fire. It is also within short driving distance of Longleat and we jumped on a train in to Bath. I hope we get to visit again. The Hillside Cottage is an amazing, warm, modern and cosy home. We were a group of 12 and we found the house to be in pristine condition. The facilities such as the spa, sauna and steam room were 10/10. The farm shop and pub were also very welcoming to the guests and we thoroughly enjoyed spending with the locals in the pub as well. We will definitely be back ! Jackie was also extremely helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend staying here. On the off chance we popped in.. as we are staying local and needed refreshments. Quiz night on with a bar. Great to see locals supporting. Restaurant had space. Luckily for us 2 and a well behaved but vocal hound. Soup was delicious tomato basil and coconut. Mmm indeed. Steak so tender with incredible eggs and perfect chips. A glass of malbec and beer for Mr. Rounded off with seasonal crumble and custard. Home made of course. Perfect. Thank you We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our intimate wedding (30 guests) at Hillside Cottage, part of The Three Daggers Pub, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From day one, Ebram supported us with care and attention to every detail – always responsive, of ideas, and completely dedicated to making everything perfect. The venue itself is stunning – Hillside Cottage sits atop a hill with beautiful views and a garden of flowers, ideal for photos. We booked additional cottages for guests and had use of the brewery for our wedding breakfast, the Spa Barn as our dancefloor, and the garden for a relaxed Sunday BBQ. The food and drinks were delicious and tailored exactly to our taste, all organised with Ebram’s help. We were incredibly lucky to have Katie and Liv with us on the day – they were amazing! From helping decorate to ensuring everything ran smoothly, they were an essential part of making our day so special. A heartfelt thanks also to Jackie, who coordinated all our accommodation with such kindness and efficiency. Also, we are so happy to know the Pub is dog-friendly – the team clearly loves animals and was more than welcoming. We’re so grateful to everyone at The Three Daggers for making our dream wedding a reality. We can’t wait to return – this place is not only stunning, it’s of heart! Stayed for 3 nights for a post Christmas break. Beautiful spacious room with gorgeous shower. Sian,Cristina ( and all staff ) were brilliant- friendly and efficient. Food was fantastic throughout- absolutely recommend the loin of Venison- though all meals were excellent. Nice location for Stonehenge where we enjoyed a fantastic sunset and topped off with a visit to Wolves of Wiltshire for an incredible animal adventure.
