Seating inside and outside Great place to eat very homely feel about it, got the steak pie & it was really tasty, my wife got the Cajun chicken & loved it, good portions aswell, would definitely return, only fault I'd have would be lack of music, very off-putting when all your hear is people banging plates & noisy eaters 🤣 so I'd definitely recommend background music Really good and even better food! Food was a solid 10/10. We we're struggling to find Somewhere to eat And we were able to phone an Emergency order on the phone,and they accommodate us,highly Recommend. I've been coming here for over 22 years. It has a special meaning to me as my gran was born here, baptised, married and now buried in the churchyard. This was the house she grew up in and during the Second World War, she was evacuated back here along with my mum and my uncle. So many happy memories being here in the village and eating in her old house. The food is second to none and if I could give 11 stars I would. Called in without a reservation and that was not a problem for Marnie, Lynsey and Fiona. All are so friendly and attentive during our visit. They are great ambassadors for the property. Menu is varied and caters for all tastes. Will be back for sure. Hadn't been here for quite some time, visited tonight with wife and our two daughters, as usual the food was perfect, perfect and very reasonably priced. Amazing food. Cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Only drawback was lack of space to change an older child with medical/continence needs. Wouldn't stop me going back though. Food tasted amazing. It was lovely and hot. was efficient and friendly. Lovely place to eat. Fresh food, easy service, decent prices. I go here regularly on a 15 mile drive just because it's good. I also scran up when I'm flying to and from Prestwick Airport. Never been disappointed Visited the Wheatsheaf inn on Sunday afternoon lovely setting prompt myself and my girlfriend both had home made Lentil soup which was brilliant then my girlfriend had roast beef and Yorkshire pudding plenty of sides came with it and she said it was amazing meat really tender I myself had the slices of fillet beef with haggis again with plenty of sides it was also beautiful great and very reasonable priced Fantastic meal tonight for my partner and I. The steak pie meat was absolute melt in the mouth and she loved it. The salt and chilli chicken starter was also delicious. Order cajun chicken salad. Was farmhouse frozen chicken. Rubbery and disgusting.daughters burger was ok apart from the block of cheese melted on her burger that she took from. Not be back.im not a chef but I'm a cook. I defo make better at home I've been coming here for years.
