The good news was that there is plenty of parking. The one nearest the has about 20 cars and the one further back from the is three or four times bigger. Also, importantly, there are public toilets. Such a lovely dog friendly with different walking routes.It was not to busy and plenty of . Clean and tidy space perfect for all ages and dog walks. Absouloutley amazing, nice clean and just AMAZING!!! no need to go to Spain or abroad, this place has spectacular dunes, a lovely sandy or id that doesn't work for you... There is also spectacular rolling green hills As usual, it was like walking through a dump. Very few people bothering to bin their rubbish; cans, bottles, packets, plastic bags, various other unmentionables lying around. The pathetically small bins don't help and neither do open bins that the seagulls plunder. It's always like this when the weather's good and the council are never prepared for it. It's not as if there aren't examples of how to manage people and their litter, but the local council is badly letting down this beach, which could be stunning. Of course, personal responsibility for your own rubbish would go a long way to solving the problem, but the vast majority of people using the simply don't give a shit about their surroundings and trash it for everyone else. There's simply no respect for the environment or any of the other users. Why anyone would want to sit amongst the filfth beggars belief. Update (18/12/24) Came down with my Marine Biologists daughter to see the whale that has washed up. Sad to say that I spent a good portion of time cleaning the bits of the we were on. Discarded cans, plastic bottles, various other rubbish. At least the bins had capacity, but woeful positioning where the lids face into the wind, meaning they're easily blown open. Why is simple stuff like this so hard for the Council to understand. We went up into the dunes and up to the 'Dragon' and sadly the area around it was almost as bad as the because of litter. People need to get a grip of themselves. Amazing views and scenery. Quite clean comparative to other beaches here in Glasgow. There are toilet facilities and loads of parking. Can attract younger audiences looking to "network" however other times in the year its nicer and family freindlier. Seating areas dotted around and bins for rubbish. Good place for walks and soaking in nature. Very available space 👌 Nice to go as a side event. Great long, clean beach. Can be busy near the (free) car parking, if the weather is warm. Quieter further long. Gentle slope into the water, so ideal for small kids. Big dunes for the older kids to climb. Toilets nearby, at the parking. Beautiful place, dont know if it's a dragon or nesse at the top but it's nice anyways Loved it here on my visit in May 2025, the only downside being it was very cold and windy that day and the toilets were closed would go again though in the future, the tide was in too spectacular views!
